I have been back on this WOE for nine weeks now. I have lost nine pounds and have been going up and down with the same 3 pounds again and again. I am walking 5-7 miles a day at 4 mph, lifting weights 2-3 times a week and eating on rung 2 about 1800 cals a day. (I keep track religiously on fitday) have lost inches but the scale is truly stuck and today I was actually up a couple pounds (probably sodium related but still annoying) I am ticked that nothing is happening and needed to vent a bit. I am sticking with it and will continue to do so but I just want to let out a big ole yell to the whooshy fairy that I am here and waiting!!!

    GOAL THREE 199 ONE-DERLAND
    FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

My advise would simply be to stay off the scale and stay in front of a mirror. If you are losing inches by toning, firming and building muscle the number on the scale shouldn't matter. You look better, your clothes fit better and you're in better health. What's in a number??

Congratulations on your efforts so far.

          Hey Chinadoll,
I just wanted to make an observation that with all that exercise, you are building muscle and burning fat, soon you will see a huge change in your appearance....fat takes up more space, so you will begin to see the changes in your body dimensions before you will see the scales move.....burning fat is wonderful! Keep up the good work, the scales don't show all the success

It is extremely hard to see the scale at the same weight week after week (or in my case even up a few). Stay strong and keep on doing what you are doing. Exercise, eat right and stay focused. I have been stalled for weeks now but I just keep on chugging.

Thanks everyone. I am refocusing on basics this week ans cutting out all sugar substitutes for awhile to see if it makes a difference. And I did nine miles this morning just to tell the scale "take that!"

Have someone hide the evil scale! You are doing everything right, so you will end up toned and down inches, even if the scale doesn't move.

When we had our lose the love handles challenge, a couple of people gained weight, but were able to get on pants and button them that wouldn't close at the start of the challenge. Proof that the scale is the least accurate measure of progress.

People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.
