    Good morning STACers.
    Glad today is here. I really am. Have you ever had one of those days or periods of time where you needed to "lock yourself up" to stay "clean"....
    Yep, I've had em before, I KNOW what they feel like and I learned along time ago in order to be successful, I will have to DEAL with those moments in time where I will easily throw it all away....

    Yesterday afternoon was one of those days. I had gone on an 18mi bike ride, and then I ate low carb and that followed up with another low carb snack. I was tired but not hungry. Late in the afternoon I had to unexpectedly go and pick my DH up, as I was driving along each and every restarant called my name. Some of my favorites where on the route I took to get him and back. Finally I passed a restarant I recently went to and was completely wow'd by.
    I got myself home....and guess what the entire family had needs at Wal-Mart.
    Decision time for me! Tired as I was, I could go and totally get ahead in the grochery dept.....set myelf up great for this next week. But, I knew I would cave in, so I passed on going. I knew I could not be trusted to follow through on all my dreams and plans. I knew my Eddie Bauer's did not mean anything in this tired-craving-addict state...So I quickly fixed a hot mini meal and refused to get off the couch!!!!!

    The Eddie Bauer shorts are a touch looser today, I think or maybe it's just my attitude that feel so empowered!

    I don't tell the story for a pat on the back, I tell it to motivate you and make you aware that this is a struggle for me, because I am for certain addicted. It's a struggle to stay away from carbs....But I've studies my weak times and areas. I made it through and I am feeling good about that. It's restoring some of my trust in myself again!

    Hi OJ,
    I know what you mean. That's my first week in this time round and i'm doing very well i'm glad to say.
    But when you open the fridge or cupboard door and everything in there is screaming at you it doesn't help at all.
    Once the second week is past and it actually look's like i have lost a bit of weight instead of just wondering if the scales aren't working properly then i know i will have cracked it...........i hope!.

      Nice posts. Thinking ahead is a big part of this!

      Doing fine today, need to go fix lunch. Was in a hurry this morning but did stop and fry an egg, all I had time for before services. Stopped at the grocery for salad fixin's and cherry tomatoes and broccoli, ham and turkey. Took a picture of myself in the size 18 W red dress, will post later when I get it on the computer!

      Have a super day all, I am going to be doing some serious housecleaning, my trip threw me off!

        Day 7 here back on induction and I messed up! AHHH!! Why do I do this?? I ate chips and popcorn. I guess I have to start over for the 100th time tomorrow.

          mimom, don't beat yourself up about it. A lot of time the cheating aspect hurts our self esteem and sabatoges us about even trying to lose the weight. You might just say yesterday was a bump in the road, but don't beat yourself up about it. Just dust off and continue on. I know if I had trouble with induction before it just seemed very dissapointing. So now if I have a moment that is just what it is. I eat low carb, end of story I just go right back to it, not tommorrow, not next week, but the next bite.

          Anyway ya'll day 14 for me. I'll let you know what the scales say in the morning! Can't wait.

          I know sometimes the smells of foods really bring on the cravings, even at Walmart when they are baking bread. Glad you have a plan of action, I need to work on that.

            hi hi, still here, still on track. though I wore the wrong shoes for what ended up being an extended walk yesterday, and I feel blisters under my callouses. ugh!

              Hey everyone I'm here as well. Got on the scale this morning and I weighed in at 174!!!!!!!! That's 3 lbs. in 1 day! Veggies really do cause the whooshies!!!! I was really suprised by the loss cause I'm also dealing with TOM and I'm only 3 days into a clean induction....interesting. I'll take it. Well talk to ya'll later.

                Oh OJ how true! Im glad you won ur fight I on the other hand lost it yesterday at a get together that i wasnt going to go to so i wouldnt have to fight but they insisted I come and said they would be mad if i didnt and I fell.

                But Im getting back on -- Im sad about it -- but Im happy that I feel I can jump back on with the next meal.

                Here I am Day 1 again but Im stronger than before...I hope.

                  This is day 14 for me! Weighed this morning and I am down to 203.8, so that is almost 10 pounds gone during induction! First and second time doing Atkins I lost only 4 pounds in two weeks, so I'm doing much better third time around!

                  I was stuck on 8 pounds for 5 or 6 days, then finally broke through this morning! Whew!

                    Way to go, Outback Jess. I am not sure if you remember me. It has been over a year since I was here and following Atkins as my way of life.

                    I want to say that your pictures look great. I remember when you were just getting started on this awhile ago. Good for you!

                    rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
