    Good morning Stacers

    I'm not normally up at this time but I got called into work. Getting ready to go to bed for a few hours & go back to work.

    here!

    it's 430 am, I'm up with a headache. my neck is killing me!

    derby tryouts were hard! quite trying physically, but fun. I have no idea how my chances of getting into the league are, but if I don't, I know what I need to do to be ready to do it next year!

        Doing well here- we have a "snow day" today-due to the remnants of Ike knocking out power lines, etc., so I get to stay home with the kids! (I think us teachers get just as excited as the kids do when we see that come across the news!) Anyways, doing well eating this WOL. Getting a little discouraged because the weight is coming off, but not too many inches. Shouldn't it be the other way around? So far, I've lost 14 lbs. but only 2 inches or so in my hips and waist. I've really been trying to do some sort of workout 4-5 times a week. I'm trying to do 3 days cardio and 2 days strength. So far, I've been able to keep it up- this week is going to be hard- I have 3 nights this week that I've got meetings in the evenings (which is usually when I work out). And I'm not a morning person! I'm sure I'll figure it out! Well, I hope everyone has a great day!

          Hi Everyone, Day 8 for me. I have not weighed yet BUT I have done 15 minutes of exercise bike. I don't know why my post didn't make it to the board from yesterday, so I'll repeat here. I have a new goal of doing 15 min of exercise biking or walking each day. It's a small start, but I've not been doing any focused exercise for a while and I have a history of jumping out there full force and injuring myself. So it's just a small step to get started. I saw an interesting program called Perricone Weight Loss Program and one fascinating thing the Dr. said was when you lose weight you lose 50/50 fat and muscle, UNLESS you do activity to counteract that. Probably why Dr. Atkins says exercise is not negotiable! Everyone have a great day, mine is starting out super!

            Oh is it Monday already? Most of my little town is still without power, so I don't know how I got lucky and got it back, although cable was out again last evening until just a while ago. School, at least, is open! The rumors are that our water is going to be turned off while the city works on 'something.' So I filled jugs and a tub. I was so grateful when the power came on and saved my freezer full of no-carb meat, lol!

            Up and eating right, Jaybee, I don't require a lot of variety. My meals are generally a small omelette with veggies, protein and salad for lunch, protein and cooked veggie for dinner, protein being pork chops, steak, turkey, tuna, salmon patties, etc.

            I am with you Red, keeping muscle, very important! And exercise clears your head and gives you endorphins.. very nice things.

            Pokey, you are losing somewhere you aren't measuring, it could be your thighs, your ankles, your neck even. It will balance out though and catch up to the areas where your fat is more noticeable to you.

              I am here. This will be day 1 for me.... I am looking foreward to this.. This time I am going to do it.. Made my Oopsies already. Have my salad cut. Have put what I am having for lunch in a container. Made my Jello-light. Making cauliflower pancakes for breakfast. So I think today will be a great day... It is going to be a hot one here yay. Have a fantastic day everyone. I will be checking back later.

                Cauliflower pancakes sound kinda interesting, I'll have to look those up

                    I got this Recipe under never ending Induction Recipes. You just have to chop up cauliflower into little bits. Microwave until tender. Let them cool. Add one egg to aproximately 1 c cauliflower. Fry them on the pan till they are brown on both sides be careful when flipping add pepper salt or whatever else to add more flavour. I love them.

                            Sitting here, trying to ignore the smell of turkey cooking ... ever tried to ignore the smell of turkey cooking? Impossible. I just want to dive on it like a vulture, but tough turkey ain't no prize, either. That's a meaty piece of turkey breast and it needs another hour, probably. *wipes slobber off keyboard* Postscript: It was delicious
