Ok, so I'm here, yet again. I lost 70 pounds last year on Atkins. I know it works. But there are two things I'm having a hard time giving up, and it makes me feel like a failure already. I tend to be very all or nothing. So here it is, my confession: I'm hooked on coffee with liquid hazelnut creamer. Tried heavy whipping cream last night -- I'd just as soon not have coffee. And I'm one of those people who drinks their coffee "blonde." I often drink two pots a day. I know that's put a lot of weight on me. The other thing is cigarettes.
I drank the coffee today because my fiance made it. Tomorrow I think I will skip it completely. Can I really say today is my first day of Induction if I drank the creamer? I'm used to having bacon and sausage for breakfast, but I've never been all that strict on the sugar, nitrate, etc. issues. I want to do a truly clean induction, but I'm scared. I'm scared I'll fail again and not even do the halfway induction I've always done.
This is what today's menu looks like:
Bfast:
one cup of regular coffee, 4 tbsp coffeemate hazelnut sugarfree creamer, 1 pack splenda
two scrambled eggs
four slices bacon (regular Zeigler)
Lunch:
1/2 cup pumpkin with cinammon, 1 pack splenda, cinammon, 1 tbsp butter
Supper:
Bubba burger
2 cups baby spinach
one tbsp butter
Calories: 940. Protein: 49. Fat: 72.5. Carbs: 20.
Am I just wasting my time? I want to switch to either black decaf or no coffee at all. Finding healthy bacon and sausage is proving to be a real trick. Is the stuff you buy straight from the butcher guaranteed to not have all these extra ingredients ie. sugar, etc?
