  • Need some different meal ideas

    It has to be low sodium (so no pepperoni, bacon, etc) and I'd love something that I can make up today for the week. Last week I made a spinach quiche for breakfast and had shepherds pie for dinner (both recipes from Linda's Low Carb site).

    This week, for breakfast especially I need some different ideas. I love eggs, can't eat bacon anymore, love lots of different veggies.

    Any ideas??

    I just stir fried a handful of shrimp and mushrooms in olive oil. Not my favorite, but it was something a little different.

    1st goal: 139 (earlier weight)
    what the rungs mean to me:
    rung 1 - more veggies
    rung 2 - dairy (some milk in coffee)
    rung 3 - seeds, nuts (mostly sprinkled on salads)
    rung 4 - berries, melon
    rung 5 - wine -
    rung 6 - beans, hummus
    rung 7 - other fruits
    rung 8 - carrots/ potatoes (nah, prolly not)
    rung 9 - whole grains (fresh Dutch breads...)
    Major Goal - 128 lbs/ healthy range
    (on to pre-maintenance)

        just olive oil and a little bit of chili powder. I am not very creative in the kitchen and as you can see, I am starting induction again after some time away. Trying to get my groove back!

          How about some steak with those eggs? I like to grill steak an extra steak with dinner and use it the following morning for breakfast. I can usually get 2 meals out of the extra beef.
          If God didn't want us to eat animals, he wouldn't have made them out of meat.

            LowCarbFriends.com : losts of testing there on using alternative sweeteners and low carb flour mixes. I know I am not to the flour point. But one of my hobbies has been baking. I miss the art and science of it in my new low carb world.

            Healthy Indulgences: This chick has come up with some great looking recipes! I am planning on making the Chocolate Lava Cake for Valentines Day.

            Lighter side of low carb: Cauliflower or Zuchinni Pizza crust?!?!?! There are positive reviews and I am missing my junk food! It will have to be Zuchinni for me. I abhor cauli. I did buy some more cauli this weekend. Trying to force the love.
