    Just checking in. I have a lot to do today and tomorrow as I work this weekend. So far has been a good week for me.

    Everlosing - I also would suggest trying to wait it out a bit longer before going to sleep. What time are you exercising? If in the pm, those endorphins can keep you up! Might try doing a craft in the evenings to help you pass some time or read something.

    Kellymch - We have a new kitten that thinks I am its mother. I wake up and it is in my bed and couldn't get any closer if he tried! Also likes to breath right in my face! Gotta love the smell of kitten chow in the morning! LOL

      Morning Everyone

      I'm feeling great today!
      Yesterday after work, rather then take the bus I actually walked to the train - took about an hour. Even though I could feel it in my hips and my achilles tendon was acting up (don'tcha hate old age?! Okay... I'm not that old!! Ha!), I felt great!

      Once I got home I don't think I sat down again until about 10pm - I baked banana bread for the boys (son/hubby), made dinner (yummy cheese burger [sans bun, of course] with mayo, avacado, sauted mushrooms on top and a small side salad!), then made some "moussey stuff" (a whipped cream/SF Jello concoction I make, keep in the fridge and eat a few bites of each day - my only sweet ). Phew!!

      Cara - my opinion - you can eat your Kraft salad dressing as long as the carb/sugar count is low... if it's listing 1 carb then count the 1 carb (per Tablespoon used, probably). I use the Kraft Signature dressings - my favourite (Roasted Red Pepper with Parmesan) has 2 carbs per serving and those 2 carbs are derived from sugar... I'm not negatively affected by these suger-carbs and I'm loosing weight. I just make sure that I count the carbs!

      As for Caesar Dressing - absolutely you can have Caesar!! Grilled Chicken Caesar Salads are my absolute favourite!!!! Again, just check the label and count the Carbs. I use a brand called "Lighthouse"... not sure if they sell it in the states... but I think it's 1 carb/Tbsp. Yummy!!

      And don't forget Ranch dressing - it's allowed, too.

      Okay everyone... back to work for me... but first:
      TJ = good to hear that the scale is moving downward again!
      Everlosing -= I agree with the concensus here, try and stay up a little later. You know, I find that I require less sleep these days - might be the time of year or it might be plan...
      TexasJen = I'm at 20 lbs lost, too!! Congrats!!
      Julie = Hope your hubby makes it home! I should make some quiche too - what a great grab and go meal!
      Crusiergal = Keep up the great work. Will you work to stay on plan on the cruise?

        I'm here! Not any great progress to report. Stuck by my guns yesterday with the water, and doing it again today. Gained 1 lb...must have been seriously dehydrated.

              Yo Yo Yo STACrs! Sounds like everyone is in a great mood today....a great improvement from yesterday....I think the long weekend allowed us too much time to spend worrying! So glad everyone has shaken that off and is back to being optimistic! I am doing well, still super busy (and will be for the next 3 weeks). I learned a great lesson....having boiled eggs on hand=no skipped breakfast and a great way to jump start the fat burning for the day!

                I concur. I always do better with steady eating spread out the day. I screwed myself today. Only lunch and dinner and a ton of water. A little binge for dinner (16 oz steak). Hopefully I don't pay for it tomorrow.

                    It's been many years since I have had a puppy. I forgot how much pure joy they are. She's just hysterical. Don't get me wrong, she's a pain in the rear but she's mostly just a hoot. I love her. And so does our other dog.

                      I'm a natural insomniac, but I've learned to get into a nice sleep pattern by using melatonin. 15 minutes before you want to go to sleep at night, take a melatonin pill. Within a week or so your body will make you naturally tired at that same time, which will allow you to sleep more (and better) at night, which will keep you from getting tired after work, which will improve your sleepiness at bedtime.
                      It's worth a shot for a $6 bottle of pills....right?

                        I actually have several bottles of melatonin. Problem is...staying up late enough to take it!! I said I'd stay up until 11 pm last night. I didn't make it. About 8:30, down for the count. I just woke up at 2 am. Really stinks. I'm missing time with my 13 yr old and he's sooooooo taking advantage of dictating his own bed time and video game play!! Makes me feel negligent! I'll keep going.....

                        On a side note...I think I need glasses. Have to put my vision insurance to use and get my eyes checked out. That might have something to do with this. By evening, my vision is really blurry and eyes are strained....on computers all day at work and then here when I get home.

                          I am 43 and think I need glasses now too! At night, I really have trouble. I have put it off as everyone in my family tells me, "once you cross over"...well, I might start with a pair of .1 or 1's at Walgreen's and see how I do. Reading label now is so important and on cans it is tough for me! I also have trouble sleeping, but it looks like you have been back (or new?) a few months longer. I am still on induction with no success going on day 12...
