    Well, I have to say here I do NOT have any sort of history with Anorexia. I have gone the route of severely restricting calories for a month here and there to lose 10 pounds for a special occasion or to size down to something and it always seemed to work. I did not ever cut off food completely and pretty much ate most calories once a day with a snack-that to me was "starvation mode" but I am not and have never been anorexic. I think many people here have tried different things throughout their lives to get added weight off. Anorexia is a serious mental and medical condition and I just want to be clear that you don't include me in this as it is not and never has been the case. Thanks.

      Happy Saturday STAC'ers


      I feel great today. I slept in till after 8 am and when I woke up it was actually light out side.... Huge for us Alaskans.... Spring is on the way... Yeahhhh Yesterday was a challenge and by last night I was having a decent muscle spasm in my low back/butt and my knee was on fire. I broke down and took a pain pill and a few advil. Smart- I slept well and woke up feeling well rested and pain free.

      I made the induction deep dish pizza last night. It is the one I used most last time around. I knew my daughter would eat it. However I remember looking at mozzerella at the market but I guess I failed to put it in my cart because some how I didn't find it while putting away my food.... So I used a lot of parmesan and some cheddar. It made the pizza a little salty (I think). Any way I used alot of meat. Salami, Pepperoni, Italian sausage, and ground beef. I guess the meats could have added to the salty taste as well.

      Any how after waking up I assumed I would be retaining water from the sodium so I weighed myself. WOOHOOO.... the scale said 210# The weird thing is I still didn't get in all my water. I only had about 60 oz. The worst is I literally drank a pot of coffe yesterday. I really don't drink coffee any more as a rule. Not because if Atkins, but because my stomach can't handle the acid. But yesterday my daughter wanted a cup of coffee before school so I had a pot of coffee staring at me and I was tired ..... Need I say more. Maybe the diuretic effects from the coffee has helped me have a woosh?

      Hopefully I will get a phone call from my hubby today telling me to pick him up at the airport tonight. It has been 2 whole weeks since I have seen him. I think I have lost about 5 pounds since he left.

      Today's goals- drink 3 liters of water, go to the laundromat (still have a non working dryer), dust the upstairs, scrub the upstairs tub, and make heroin wings (my hubby loves chicken wings and I would like to try these as well).

      Cara- I also agree with moving up and out of induction. You will not gain weight from adding another 5 carbs of vegis. You need to be able to have more variety. Adding more vegi's can allow you to experiment with different recipes that give you that added variety. Like beef stroganoff, spagetti (with zuchini noodles etc).

      In fact this time around I moved right into the dairy rung the 3rd week and the nut rung the 4th week. I have been here many times. I don't really have an issue with keeping my dairy in control, But I did need to focuss on getting more vegi's in daily. I did find out that I have an issue with peanut butter. I am debating on moving into the berry rung. They sure look tasty.

      TJ- you have too much fun... Beer and wings! I am afraid to have a drink myself. But if hubby gets to stay home- next Saturday we will have a poker party and I will have a few drinks.

      NewtoAtkins- I need a name.... Anyway congrats on the loss! Excellent

      Plsmachic- Also I need a name... I have to look at your screen name a couple times to make sure I spelled it right Awesome Woosh as well!

      Great news Judy. How many people can say they lost weight on vacation? Just wonderful.

      Look for something fun in the next couple of days from Vickie and I.

        Hubby just called. They are not finished with the barge. He will not be home today. There are no Sunday flights off the island either. So now we are looking at Monday night.

        Just so you guys have an idea. My husband is a heavy equipment operator for a tug and barge company. Right now he is on St. Paul Island loading Alaska King Crab that has had an outstanding fishing season. He told me that the North Western (as seen on Deadliest Catch) was stuck in the bay most of last week because the ice was impassible.... The barge he is loading was at the mouth of the bay and coudn't get in because of the ice. Now the ice has moved out and the wind is blowing so bad that they have had to slow down etc....

        So I guess I am not going to make the Heroin Wings tonight. I will plan on making them Monday instead.

          Hello all! I'm a newbie to the board, it's my 11th day this go-round, and i'm already seeing results! Guess that happens when u have a lot of weight to lose! Keep on keepin on!

            Morning Everyone!

            That Whoosh Fairy is really traveling around the continent because she visited me this week, too; 213 at the beginning of the week, 210 this morning! Lovin' it!!

            I have a lot of activities planned for today - working on my blog, painting my kitchen ceiling, taking my pup for a good, long walk and getting my new workout room in the basement set up!

            Julie - sorry to hear that your hubby can't come home until Monday at the earliest. Interesting reading about what he does!

            Like Julie wrote = watch for something fun from the two of us!!

              SERIOUSLY late check in. today was a write-off, foodwise. I'd been debating taking the night off for my friend's birthday bash, and I was already feeling crappy, so I did. I don't feel worse, but I don't feel better. and I have some new zits! no justification of what I ate. tomorrow (later today?) is another day. monday, I re-start induction, officially. wish me luck.
