  • Roll Call 3/6/09 FRIDAY!!

    Hi Everyone! Just checking in this morning and ready for the weekend. The weekends tend to be harder for me-I am sure I am not alone! It is easier, however, to get in 6 small meals which helps balance the day for me! Being from Chicago, I have been looking forward to the warmer weather and it is FINALLY here! Have a great on plan weekend! I have to say, I need to find a better Flax recipe for muffins. I made one that is just not edible...my dog likes them though...No worries! Cara

    Cara, looks like neither one of us is fully awake yet. I started a roll call thread for us in the wrong forum and you have yesterday's date. I guess losing weight makes us both a bit flighty. I wanted to congratulate you on your loss finally, but the website crashed. Great job! Way to stay with it. Hopefully the first one will be the hardest.

        you never really have to start a thread to correct the date. just pm a moderator and we can fix the problem. we have those special magical powers.... leap tall buildings, stop speeding trains, change dates

          Good Morning!
          My weigh in today said 290.4...half a pound away from changing that tens digit (Wow, that sounds very second grade teacher-y, doesnt it?). I haven't seen the 280's in about 6 or 7 years.
          I remember when I hit 270...my college playing weight was 235 when I was in great shape...I saw the scale and said "Wow...I'm not far from 300." I never thought I'd get there. Then I remember seeing the scale say 324 and I thought about 300 and said again "Wow...so far from 300!" Again, I never thought I'd get there. It feels good to be reclaiming myself. Come on 289!!!

          Cara - Warm weather in Chicago means 4 degrees, right?

          TJ - Fridays weren't made for waking up...they were made to be something we tolerate on the way to Saturday.

              Good morning everyone. I'm sooo excited that it's Friday! I have a ton of stuff to get done today, and will do it all. And, I will drink my water all day! I was so preoccupied with everying that needs to get done today that I forgot to step on the scale - that's major - I'm very scale addicted, so just staying away for a day or two is a huge accomplishment for me. Hope everyone has a great Friday, and a great weekend!

                Currently in First Place in my biggest loser competition...weighed in today (clothed) at 292, down 4 from last week. I started the competition at 319 when I started Atkins. 8.5% lost in the contest now with three weeks to go!!!

                Without clothes, in just a pair of mesh shorts, I weighed in at 290 (my "true" weight, in my opinion), and had weighed 324 in January wearing the same thing. So, overall, a 10%+ loss for me.

                        My first time around I was just in size 18 at 215 pounds. I dropped into a 16, down to a 14 and went and bought all kinds of new clothes, size 14.

                        Then less than one month after I bought the new clothes, I was in a 12. How fun!

                        It's a great feeling, isn't it?

                          Hello All,

                          Just checking in.

                          Happy its Friday !! I feel a little blah today, but maybe because I am just
                          waking up. I keep glancing over at the treadmill and reading this board for
                          motivation to get on it. Had a great week, under 20 carbs, treadmill daily
                          and moderate weight lifting Tuesday and Thursday. So I will not fail today
                          and will get on the treadmill shortly. as Sunday is my rest day, not today !

                              Hi everyone!

                              Glad the site is back up! I am doing well! Finally am in the 170's (179.5, but still the 170s). Just wrapping up 9 weeks of Atkins and feel great! I am very pleased with my results and hope to be around 175 for Maui in April. Getting closer to my goal and loving it!
                              I saw a co-worker that I hadn't seen since I left my old department (in Nov) and the first thing he said was "you have lost weight haven't you?" How great is that...and he is a dude, you know dudes don't pay attention to things like that, so it made my day!

                              Other things I have noticed lately, are that I HAVE to buy some new pants and my wedding ring is ready to fall off, need to get it sized down! I can finally feel that I am smaller! Such a great feeling!
