          Re: Roll Call 3/16/09 Monday

          Hi everyone! Happy UghMonday!

I'm new to the site, but not to Atkins, and on TJ's prodding, I'm doing the roll call. I restarted Atkins (after many years) this Saturday, and so far so good. I've lost 3 pounds as of last night - don't ask, night weighing is best for me currently. Still wondering if I'm going to get Induction Flu, but I'm trying to be as diligent as possible.

So, what do I have to do to join the STAC club? Wrestle a greased up goat or something? I love those snazzy sig banners.

          Start date: 03/14/09
          Goal #1 - 260 - Met 04/12/09! Goal #4 - 230 - Met 08/03/09!
          Goal #2 - 250 - Met 05/22/09! Goal #5 - 220 - Met 01/29/10 FINALLY!
          Goal #3 - 240 - Met 06/20/09! Goal #6 - 210

            Re: Roll Call 3/16/09 Monday

Morning all! I posted my results on the wrong roll-call...lol...hard for me to keep these things straight!

So here they are again...after 2 weeks of induction, I am down 11 pounds and am close to my first mini-goal of 280...which I think I might reach next week! When I first got on the digital scale this morning, it said 278...that was beyond exciting! But...subsequent re-weighs proved it to be a mirrage...stupid scale. LOL

I'm exhausted this morning. I went to bed at 9pm last night so that I could get up at 5:30 to do a workout...which I did, but it was only a mini-workout and I struggled through. Yesterday was very light with the vegetables, so I think maybe that's the problem.

Food this weekend was a little crazy with the whole birthday thing. I ate FANTASTIC on friday, with no alcohol and ate "lettuce sandwiches" while my friends ate theres on fresh baguette.

Saturday I got up and had a small breakfast then went to Ruby Tuesdays for birthday lunch with family. I was NOT impressed by their mashed cauliflower...I KNOW it tastes way better when I make it! Then I spent the rest of the day prepping the house for party number two and never got around to eating...so I only had some cheese and a few bites size pieces of salami, and some celery during the party...just not enough food in general. I did drink a little alcohol, too...I had two jack and cokes...used diet coke.

Sunday I made pancakes from a recipe on here for breakfast, and for lunch had taco salad...and that's it. I'm well aware it was not enough food...and not NEARLY enough veggies. I'm feeling it today, believe me!

I've started the day so far with a piece of bacon, 3 stalks of celery with cream cheese and am about to enjoy taco salad for lunch with my sugar-free cheesecake for desert. I've got chicken defrosting in the fridge for dinner tonight...will probably make chicken with broccoli and white sauce...haven't had that in a while.

Hope I can stay awake through the morning!

            ~280~270~260~250~240~230~220~210~200~190

            Realistic Final Goal: 190
            Stretch Goal: 140

Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

Oh...I forgot to say...how awesome for those of you that got to see the shuttle launch! I was in Orlando on business a couple years ago when the shuttle launched and I didn't know till it was too late I totally woulda been able to see it from there! I drove out to Kenedy later that day...first time out there, I had a great time!

Checking in a little late - hello!
                Love the new smilies!

                Had a busy weekend.
Saturday spent a good part of the day finishing the painting projects at my client's condo - then in the evening I went shopping for a few new tops and was pleased that I could fit in an XL rather then a 1X (or 2X!). Felt great and looked great!!
Sunday afternoon I met an friend for lunch but didn't finish my chicken caesar salad - too much talking AND they were stingy on the dressing. I hate that! But I made a cauliflower crust pizza for dinner that was fab!!

Today I'm doing a great job with my water - in fact I have to go and re-fill my bottle right now! And, because I'm talking about water intake I get to use this cool new smiley!

And... I'm officially down another pound to 205!! The scale has read 205 for 3 days now so I can totally own it!! While I'm happy with my progress, it sure is taking forever to get from 215 to 200 (my two mini-goals). Geesh! Well... just 5 more pounds... maybe 2 more weeks?? I hope so 'cause I want to join EverLosing in one-derland!!

                Stay cheat free!

Onederland sounds good...what is it called when you make it into the twos though?

Twoserville? (I think I heard that one before). Any suggestions?

Hello one and all! Have been so very busy lately and I've been bad about coming here and checking in. I am plodding along as usual. Down 1 pound. Wish it were more, but at least in the right direction. Just have to keep reminding myself that it didn't all come back on over night, so it will be longer than that to get it off. Have a great day everyone! Also love the new smileys

There needs to be two names. One coming from the 300's and Twoserville sounds as good as anything I can come up with.

I got back into the two hundreds from the 190's, and I have a name for it I would get banned for using here. Thankfully I've started losing again, and was 198.4 today. Lifting weights is a double edged sword.

Congrats on the HR, big guy, but I think stealing second was a rarer feat. Prince Fielder is averaging 3 a year with 1.5 CS per year. But he is younger and supposedly only weighs 260. If he's 260, I'm 115.

I'm taking the season off (softball) so my kids can play. I figure I've played the last 22 seasons, it's their turn. Maybe I'll start up again in my mid 40's when my son can drive.
