    Good morning, everyone!! Extremely surprised to wake up today to discover a 10 pound WHOOSH!! Ok, just kidding. It IS April Fools Day, so be warned. We're all surrounded by grown up children, don't allow yourself to be a victim today!!

    I'm in the weigh, no way challenge so I have no idea what I weigh.

    It's great to post again without the constant threat of losing my post while composing due to a laptop whose life is over. I got the new one yesterday and I'm in love with it!!

    I am sooooo pleased to see our roll call is growing by leaps and bounds!! This will be the biggest hang out of all the forums very soon! Welcome to all of our newbies....who generally aren't totally new but new again!

    Challenges in every direction here lately (work sucks) except this WOE. It's the only thing that is keeping me centered and in complete control of something right now! Stay on plan! Have a great day! The weekend is on its way here!

      Off to a great start again today.. breakfast done, laundry done, short sculpting worktout done! All the good stuff.. now it's off to work where the not so good stuff happens

            I just had a great start also, had breakfast, washed dishes, im just getting ready to go to work. Third day in induction and in doing better than yesterday.

                Morning everyone! I woke up today hoping that the black cloud that's been following me around decided to find someone else to rain on. I guess we'll wait and see. No work for me today, so I can probably get some things done around the house.

                Im pretty excited because there's a local gym called Planet Fitness that is having a $1 to join and $10 per month deal going on, and I think Im gonna do it. Ive been walking and trying to get in a workout video as often as possible, but it seems like I just cant concentrate at home. There's always something else that needs to be done, so maybe if I set a gym schedule, I'll stick to it. I hope. My husband is going to join with me, although if he loses any weight he will literally dissapear, so he'll be hitting the weights.

                I hope everyone has a great day today (myself included) it seems like alot of us have been down in the dumps.

                  Hi Everyone,
                  kiddies off to school ,breakfast done.....1 mile walk done in 25 mins today...32ounces of water done....check in done...off to take a shower and do housework joy joy. but i have to say i have so much energy to do it, it doesnt make it seem so bad. dang its not even 9am yet .the house is gonna shine today giggle.

                  started watching calories today to see if that will help the now 13 dayish stall ughhh

                  oh i know i am losing inches... i can actually wrap a bathroom towel around me and tuck it closed.. now i am sure you who couldnt can appreciate that

                    Good morning. I am a more than second time arounder. I have been hanging in the newbie forum for induction as it has been a year and a half since I have done Atkins. In the meantime I have tried WW (just does not work for me) and South Beach. SB worked but I had a hard time adding in the grains and fruits so quickly. So I am back to what worked for me.

                    I am currently on extended induction. It has been 2 1/2 weeks and I lost about 6 pounds. I have been very disappointed with 6 as I have 115 to lose so I expected it to come off a little faster at this point. But I am happy that I have gotten to the point in the last 2 or so weeks that I feel like food is not controlling me anymore. You just can't put a price tag on feeling like you are in control of your eating habits. So we will call that a NSV for me.

                    As for April Fool's Day - my 11 yo got me with the sink sprayer being taped down. I got up to make coffee and got soaked!!
                    I will stay on my diet. I will get healthy and lose weight. There is nothing I could eat or drink that tastes as good as how I feel at this moment on this WOE ~ nothing!

                      Good Morning,

                      This is the start of my 4th day. Had to cheat and weigh myself this morning....down 7 lbs. I know its water weight, but it still makes me feel good! lol

                      I know I'm in Ketosis now, started yesterday afternoon, samething that happened last time. Basically I feel like the inside of my body is on fire and I have a light sweat going on constantly. I'm burning fat!!!!! Yeah!!!!

                      Been drinking well over a gallon of decaf tea and water everyday. Will continue to do this as I know this is the big reason the weight is falling off. Also, this time I'm eating 5 small induction friendly meals per day spaced about 3 hours apart. I figured this might jumpstart my metabolism.

                        My booty is shrinking!!!!

                        It's noticable...and I'm happy.

                        I also had a bit of a "whoosh" on the scale this morning...I suspect it's because I haven't worked out in a couple days...but it sure was fun to see 275.4 on the scale!

                        Struggled a bit with my "lack" of hunger yesterday. I don't feel like I'm getting enough calories or carbs cuz I'm never hungry anymore...I have GOT to figure out how to deal with this as I think it's contributing to my fatigue. Life is hard when you have to figure out how to eat MORE. LOL

                        Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.

                          Hey everyone! I haven't been "gotten" yet today, but the day is young and I work with a few tricksters, so we'll see.

                          I hate the No Weigh Challenge with every fiber of my being, but I definitely see it's purpose. Carbs and scales are apparently my two addictions. But it certainly helps that Hubs keeps telling me I'm definitely losing, bless his fibbing heart.

                            I'm here. Had no time to cook this morning so I has some salami and string cheese. I brought some precooked chicken breast strips to work to snack on.

                            I woke up with the worst sore throat I can remember having in years, so I didn't work out this morning. I'm hoping I am not coming down with a cold! Let it just be a 24 hour thing!
                            I'm going to stay on my eating plan and try to get to bed early to sleep off this...whatever it is. But even without the workout I'm going to consider today a success if I can get those water ounces into me!

                            I know life will continue to throw this kind of challenge at me, and my job is to find a way to modify my expectations of a 'perfect' day and do the best I can in a situation.

                              Good Morning...oops just looked and its afternoon now.. I have been out to water aerobics and the grocery store... I was going to skip aerobics this morning cause I just could not get myself to the 8am class.. I was too tired..was out late in the ER with my son who has Sty's in both of his eyes..one eye is totally closed..

                              But I did manage to go to the 9am class..little less workout but still a good one...
