    Re: Roll Call 4/10/09..

    Hey y'all, yay for friday!
feeling sort of crappy lately. TOMs due, so i'm trying to avoid the scale till it goes away, drink a crap load of water, and still get my workouts in even if it kills me. I did yoga this morning for the first time in a while. It was all upper body/core, like planks, and side balancing planks on one arm etc, and I could actually do it! there was a point where I couldnt even do girly push ups, and I did 40 last night with no trouble at all. Its fun to see how fast your strength builds when you work out

        Re: Roll Call 4/10/09..

        Happy Friday everyone!
Long holiday weekend here (Friday & Monday off) plus I've taken next week off from work so I'm lovin' it!!

My hubby and I are about to head downtown to this great chocolate store to get some Easter treats for our kids (okay... they're pretty much adults, but they still like thier Easter chocolate). I've never (really!) been a big fan of chocolate. I can say no very, very easily. BUT... last time we were down at this store I discovered they had this scrumptious sugar-free peanut butter cup. It took me about 4 days to eat it, not only because it was somewhat large, but because one bite of chocolate is all I need to satisfy me. So... when we're down there, I'm going to treat myself with one of these peanut butter cups! MMMMM!

TJ - I'm sorry to hear about your lipid numbers. But I'm very glad to hear that you will re-dedicate yourself to plan!! Listen... just an observation... but you often write about smoking things (like the turkey you just bought) and BBQ. Do you think these are things that should be eliminated from your plan... at least for now? I'm sure you're looking closely at what you're doing!!!! You'll make this work for you!!

Ever - soooo cool that your vender noticed the changes in your body, even if the actual loss isn't necessarily showing on the scale!! I can just imagine how great that feels!

Okay - DH is waiting patiently for me to get off the computer.
        Have a great day!!

          Re: Roll Call 4/10/09..

Checking in today. I doing well with food, water and exercise. I can't wait until my Sunday weigh-in.
Confession: I have a 15 week puppy that I had since he was 8 weeks. He is as cute as cute can be but I'm a little ( a lot) tired of the YIP,YIP, YIP, YIP,YIP, YIP, YIP,YIP, YIP. I have to keep remembering he is still just a baby and that's one way that he communicated with his mom. He's fed, watered, walked, played with and now he's napping. Thank Goodness!
Thank you for letting me get that off my chest.

            Re: Roll Call 4/10/09..

Hey...quick update as I've been super pressed for time today...

I'm officially up a pound for the week...but that's better than the 4 lbs I was up a few days ago. I hope it comes off and takes some friends with it next week. Unlike when I'm on WW, I'm not tempted to go out and order a pizza and drink a bunch of foofy drinks out of annoyance

I visited a local "All Star Fitness Center" last night...not expecting to join just for cost reasons. The place is pretty dang nice! It's got a pool that is accessible for me and my disability, and the recumbent bikes (which is what my PT wants me to use now instead of elliptical) all have TV's on them so you can sit there and do your boring routine while watching Grey's Anatomy AND....the best part is that because of who I work for there is no initiation fee and the monthly fee is only $35. When I was with the YMCA it was $50! I'm thinking this might be a good deal for me...if I will get off of my booty and actually GO...which is the hard part :\

Bad news at work today announced company wide...and then my boss sent out an email to my organization that basically said "brace yourselves"...I might have a LOT of spare time to use that gym here soon

Will catch up with everyone's posts tomorrow...accept TJ...that sucks about your blood work! This can be overcome I'm sure...

            Started: 3/2/09

            ~280~270~260~250~240~230~220~210~200~190

            Realistic Final Goal: 190
            Stretch Goal: 140

Successfully did Atkins in 1998 using 1992 copy of the book...before it was "hip". Lost 60lbs, exercised daily, felt and looked great. And then I moved in with a junk-food loving man, my mom got sick and passed away, then I suffered a spinal cord injury, and junk-food dude left me...and now I weigh 292lbs. That's 22lbs MORE than I weighed the first time around. It's 10 years later...I know this will work for me again.
