        >> Well doing the calculation I get 3,164... that seems crazy high, can that be right??????>>

It can be right! Yes, it does seem crazy high ... but I've seen it work for people.

What I would do right now is to aim for 2250-2500 calories ... see how that works.

        Have you checked your BMR?

          >>Total cards 15.8>>

What's the fiber? You need to know the "net" carbs.

          >>

You probably need closer to 2000.

Re: My menu - thanks for your help!

You have to look in the graph below your food entry log and subtract the fiber from the total carbs.

So your net carbs are way too low. You should be as close to 20 net as possible, with most coming from Induction vegetables.

A hint for finding your net carbs I was taught during the Veggie Challenge this fall.... If you enter into FitDay all your veggies first, you can work your numbers til you get your veggie carbs up, then add your meats, eggs, and extras.

really..... which ones (veggies) do you use for induction to reach 3 cups and to reach up to 20 gm... this is so hard - to make this work.... I don't like the fennel, jicama, or kohirabi - I have never even heard of those.. I guess I could try the beets....

peppers beets and lettuce... 1 cup each... I think this will work for me and now I will add the rest of the food!

That's better. However, getting closer to 12-15 would be better, imho.

Beets are not an Induction vegetable though.

What? I printed off the induction acceptale foods list from the Atkins website and Beets is on the list. It says Beets 1/2 cup canned 4.7 net carbs... is this not right?

It's wrong. Has been for over a year.

Look at the Induction food list in Ch. 11 of your DANDR ... and you'll see that it's "beet greens".
