Re: Roll Call Saturday January 9th
Feel FREE to start a roll call anytime!! If I don't have much time in the morning I don't post it because it takes longer than a few seconds for me!
Glad you're ready to go go go!!!

Be careful hanging out in induction for too long though! Sometimes those pounds get really stubborn due to lack of carbs and variety. You're lucky!! You're a man and you can probably afford many more carbs and much more variety and STILL continue to LOSE!!
Seriously, it takes some time to climb the rungs and either way you'll be losing!
I've been cooking like a mad woman! Going to have company here in a few hours. We're both low carbing. I have a fresh TENDER slow cooked beef roast, creamy alfredo sauce, shrimp, spaghetti squash, steamed broccoli and in a little while I'll bake the parmesan chicken. Some GOOD EATS in my neck of the woods this weekend!!
Have a great day, everyone!

Yeah me. Did 74 minutes on the treadmill yesterday and I'm feeling eager to go again. Feel like I'm getting over the "Induction Flu" finally.

Re: Roll Call Saturday January 9th
Oh EverLosing, can I come over this weekend?? Sounds wonderful.
Last night we had tacos like we do every Friday night. Dh had a taco salad and I made taco lettuce wraps for myself. They were surprisingly satisfying. My 9yr ds even had a taco salad, so maybe this will wear off on him too. The other day he said he wanted a steak salad with us the next time we make them and he usually hates steak.
Slept in this morning. I've been sleeping so soundly since I started.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Re: Roll Call Saturday January 9th
It's a great feeling to start the roll call. It gives you the opportunity to set the tone for the rest of us lazy folks. Way to be a leader Jim!Originally posted by wavewright View PostOops, I guess I should have asked if anyone can start a roll call. Hope I didnt step on anyones toes. Im just ready to go go go.
I'm a big loser today. I was down to 231 this morning, a pleasant 2 pound whoosh. I love induction weight loss. I know it slows wayyyy down. I have a good friend on this board who has been fighting with 2 lbs. for a long, long time.
I can't wait to get to that point though. I'd be there with her if I wasn't such a retard. I thought I'd be up a pound with the huge blackened ribeye and cauliflower mashed potatoes I had for dinner.
This morning I am making another batch of my super-fiber chili. It has been a staple for me on this WOE as I eat at least a bowl of it every day. Here's the magic recipe:
1 pound 80/20 hamburger
1 pound of ground pork
6 jalapeno peppers
4 thai finger hot peppers
4 serrano peppers
1 cup milled flax seed (hence the super fiber)
2 cans of rotel with habeneros
6 oz La Costena Chipole peppers in adobo sauce (no added sugar in this brand)
14 oz chicken broth
1/4 cup Goya Recaito Cilantro Cooking Base
2 tsp crushed garlic
5 drops Dave's Insanity Sauce
Put everything except the meat, flax seed, and broth in the food processor and puree the crap out of it. Combine it with the browned meat and simmer/slow cook it for a good long while on low heat. Makes a ton. The whole recipe has roughly 30 grams of carbs, almost all from veggies. I usually get 8 - 10 servings out of this. It also has over 80 grams of fiber. It's great cold weather food, and I believe we are all in that about now.

Re: Roll Call Saturday January 9th
Morning folks! I'm back to my 170, but I know its because of the steak I had yesterday. Red meats seem to do that to me, so I'm eating lots of move it along veggies today (staying under the net carb limit of course), and we'll see what's on the menu for tonight.
Today I'm sitting here eating an omelette with sauteed red peppers, onions, and green onions with some freshly grated mozzarella. It's pretty good! Tomorrow starts my last day of induction. I'll do my official weigh in on Monday and decide if I want to stick to induction for one more week or see if I want to go on to OWL.

Re: Roll Call Saturday January 9th
Holy moly posters a-plenty! This must be the New Years rush of newbies!! Hello to everyone I haven't met yet!
I was doing fine... til Christmas Eve, and then yesterday was my first on-plan day since then... I had a scary 17 stint that was the result of me planning to only go off for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day...
That's what happens. And, I should know this by now.
Oh well.
I'm here day two of induction again.

Re: Roll Call Saturday January 9th
I am probably not the best guy to ask about spiciness. Things that I find mildly warm bring most people to their knees. Other than the jalapeno peppers, there isn't much front end heat. The serrano, thai, and chipotle are back end heat peppers, so it doesn't bite, it warms you. If you were to add any more front end peppers, it would get too bitter and you would want to add a packet of sweetener to offset that. I'm like judges one and two from this story:Originally posted by guekjian View PostHey Tfek70..that chili sounds AWESOME and I guess you are a chili-head (as is my BF)! Texas Chili Cook off
(a little grownup language, don't click if that would offend you.)
Without the Dave's Insanity, I find it fairly mild.
