I'm thankful to all of you in this community for your support.
I couldn't have done it without you.
I'm proud of myself because I had many obstacles to overcome as far as my general food addiction, carb and sweet addictions. The first week was veeery tough. I had to go through the motions of withdrawal and I compare it to someone withdrawing from drugs. It was THAT bad. But I overcame. I had to continue to cook forbidden foods for my family and I overcame. I had to go to the grocery store and walk down the isles to grocery shop for my family and was faced with all of my favorite old foods and many, many temptations. I overcame. And I didn't cheat!!
I noticed that by the second week, everything was much easier. I wasn't as hungry as I was used to being and I found it easier to avoid the temptations, even when faced with them. Even though in continued ketosis (always checked with my ketostix), my ketosis breath wasn't as bad. In fact, I no longer sense it. I believe my body has adjusted to living low carb.
A very important thing that helped me through and when in times of cravings that first week and still even at this moment - WATER!
I seem to always have a tall glass of ice water in my hand or on my desk.
I have registered on the scale the same weight for 3 days now, so I wonder if I should do Extended Induction or move on to the next phase. It is my hope to get some opinions here. I will also be posting before and after pics in the appropriate forum. Even though it's only 15 Lbs., I think I see a difference, especially in the face.
Anyways, thanks again everyone!
