26 yr 5'2 F Did Atkins on and off from Feb 2005 until April 2008. Fluctuated between 15 st 1/211lbs and 11 st 1/155lbs. On different weightloss programme from 28th May 2008 start weight 14 st 11/207lbs. Current weight 10st 3lbs/143lbs. Ultimate Goal Weight 9 st/126lbs.
Thanks everyone for the encouragement. I really appreciate it. I hope I can be helpful along the way. I'm not a "by the book" Atkins man, so I really hope I can help some of the people who want to low carb but can't do it exactly by the book. YOU CAN MAKE MINOR CHANGES AND MAKE IT WORK FOR YOU!!!!!!
I have another minor story...........
I did it! I got on the scale, and it totally said 296 pounds this morning. That is down 110 pounds. Cross past that 300 border feels so much better than losing 100 pounds did. I actually smiled and throw my hands up in the air in victory! It also means I am exactly half way to goal.
I'm so glad I changed my goal now. I started at 250, which is still huge at 5'11"/6', so I went to 220, which again, is still too heavy for my height. I am only 50% away from 180.
It's been exactly 7 months and 5 days.........I am wondering how long it will take me to cross that 200 border. I flat out ate about 10 or 11 high carb meals and only worked out for half of the time to cross the first border. I am pumped though. I am going to go HARD from now until August 16th (my one year anniversary) with no high carb meals and daily exercise to see if I can't get down to 91 more pounds in the next 5 months. That would be 200 pounds in a year!
Yay! I'm so glad I'll never weigh 300 pounds again!
you are a terrific inspiration,,,,when i read your post i threw up MY hands too and said YES!!!!! it is people like YOU that keeps people like ME comin gback for more!!!

It's seems unimaginable to lose 100lb. in a little more than 6 months. I can only begin to imagine how good you're feeling in your own skin these days. Awesome job. Stories like yours make me even more determined to stick with this.
Thanks for sharing and again CONGRATS on an amazing job!
Wow. That truely is amazing. You are such an inspiration. I've only just begun and I can't wait for the day to get to a point where I can be so proud. Keep it up!!
Hey, I know another guy online who lost 100 pounds in six months low-carbing and doing a LOT of walking and hiking. The before and after pictures are stunning for him, too. You guys can do it!
The results of your commitments are so encouraging! Congrats and thank you!
