  • Plataue Broken - Exersize Did it!!

    Hey guys!

    I totally hope I am not jinxing myself here... But I have broken my platau of staying around 209-212 and over the past week and a half I have gotten down to 203 pounds and I lose a little every day!

    It just so happens that this past week and a half I have been doing 10 minutes on my elliptical every day. Another reason for this is I have been very very giddy lately and my mind has totally been off food... Today I tried to eat 2 eggs and 5 links of sausage (like I usually do) And I got so full after only half!

    I just wanted to let everyone know that exersizing has made all the difference in the world... Who knew that 10 minutes and a little weight lifting could help so much?!

    I will be ressurecting this thread again when I reach my halfway point and my goal weight so look out!

        Thanks so much for this reassurance. The first time I lost so much weight on Atkins, I KNOW that exercise was a MAJOR factor in my success. When people I hadn't seen in a while asked me how I lost so much, I remember telling them how important the exercise was. I am having the hardest time being consistent with the exercise this time around... what in the heck is wrong with me?

          I'm so glad you posted this! Some people think that Atkins can be done without exercise when the truth is that it's not only mandatory for the programme, but it makes such a difference.

            Excercie is key! Can't live without it! IF you are able to lose weight without it, you still won't look as healthy or feel as good as you could if you make it part of your life FOR life! Good job!

                    Another plataue breaker for me is to buy a few entrees of nutrisystem dinners on eBay. I have learned that by eating one or two seem to really kick in my metabolism when I have done induction for a long time. Not sure why, but it really works for me. The meals are low in sugar but moderately high in carbs and under 300 calories. I would not do it for longer than a few days though.

                      Congrats!! You are a little bit ahead of me in weight (im 220) but you are an inspiration! I hope to have success as you are having!!! Good luck on your adventure and keep it up!!
