    This is the first time I have posted, but have been a lurker over the past few months. I would just like to say 'thanks' to everyone on the board for the help and inspiration you have given me over the past 4 months. Today is a great day....I have now lost 50lbs and I don't think I could have done it without you. I still have about the same to go, but feel fantastic. I'm eating better, I go to the gym 5 times a week and my social life is going great.

    This is the second time I have tried this way of eating and it has worked much better for me. I do still struggle some days to get all the water in, but I try to treat it a little like excercise and 'just do it'.

    Thanks again and keep up the good work!!

    Thats GREAT news Linda! Congrats on your amazing loss!!! Keep it up and you'll be at GOAL in no time!

      Great results so far Linda and with all that gym work, you will be at your goal before you know it. Congratulations to you.

      And now that you've taken the plunge and posted on the board, you will find you get even more support and encouragement from this great bunch of guys!

        Congratulations on all your success thus far! You are living proof that this WOL works, as long as someone is willing to work it! Keep up the good work and please continue to post your progress. You're success will mean inspiration for the rest of us!

          Linda, welcome to this awesome board! Way to go on losing 50 pounds in just 4 months, I bet the exercise has helped bunches!

          This board is really helpful, educational, fun, inspiring and enjoying. I learn something new everyday around here.

            Wow...50pds...you must be thrilled...you are halfway there!

            I hope you will post more often and perhaps start a journal and keep us up to date in lieu of simply lurking...but hey...look where lurking got you!!

            Way to go...and please...let us know how you are doing.

            One day at at time...today I will do what I need to do to reach my goal.

              I will keep you posted on my progress. My next milestone will be getting into 'onederland'. Only 8 lbs so hopefully that won't take too long.

                  Goal # 1 Reduce my waist enough so fitting into a pair of jeans will not make me feel like a sausage with a tight string cinched around my bulging waist.
                  Goal # 2 Have my thighs become less familiar with one another. I am tired of them rubbing up against each other when I walk.
                  Goal # 3 Be able to see my back without those flabby rolls under my bra line, you know I could store things in those roll creases, a book to read, small toy etc
                  Goal # 4 Run a 5k in Sept. and continue this WOE.

                        Hi everyone

                        Thanks for the support. (sorry I haven't responded to you all sooner, my laptop went on strike!!!)

                        The weight keeps dropping off, another four pounds gone, four to go for onederland!! I am thrilled with the results. I have a completely new wardrope and love going clothes shopping.....not the depressing activity it used to be.

                        Going into Edinburgh tomorrow to buy an outfit for a wedding and I won't have to restrict my looking to the 'big' stores.

                        Now I'm back on line I will resume the lurking and getting the support and help I really feel has helped me get to where I am now.

                            Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland.

                            Didn't get the outfit I was looking for so will have to try the same shop in St Andrews (the home of golf!!)
