I started almost 3 months ago, with a starting weight of a whopping 377 pounds. The week before I started, I saw my best friend who I hadn't seen in 6 months, he had joined the Navy and just left Tech School, and he was honest with me when he said I had gained atleast 50 pounds when he last saw me. This is what gave me the motivation to start a healthy lifestyle. My father had great success with Atkins, so I decided to try it out and noticed results within the first two weeks. It was hard to get rid of Pizza and sugar soda, but I managed to do it by thinking about the outcome, and reading the success stories on this website.
This last summer, I ate a large pizza daily and drank a two liter of Pepsi with it, I was headed down the road of diabetes and being bed-ridden later on in life, even headed for a heart attack. These days, I eat healthy, take vitamins, and work out two to three hours daily, quite a change in lifestyle to say the least. I am celebrating my halfway point to my goal of 214, where I'll be at the maximum weight to join the United States Air Force. It's at that point where nothing can stop me now, my lifetime goal of "crossing into the blue" is in sight. I will be cheating on Thanksgiving though.
I owe thanks to those who support this website, and those before me, who have had great success with Atkins. I may not post, but lurking has gotten me this far, and with the wealth of information already available, I find there's nothing to post about since most of my questions are already answered. I also owe my life to my friend who was honest with me, I can't thank him enough.
I will be sure to drop a donation to this forum when I'm not broke!
