    Arielle, be strong!

I understand what you are going without caffeine coffee. My case is very similar - I love apples and I must live without it 2 weeks. Thought about my future flat stomach and other people pictures after Atkins diet help me don't give in to temptations. Maybe it'll help you too.

I've been walking & working out with 5 lbs. weights - starting every other night now because I found out everyday (the weights) is not good & I can tell you everyone is seeing a difference! I'm not sure how quickly it works without it but it's amazing with just with what I am doing! (and I am not an athletic person) If I do nothing else I walk. I have been told the working out or even just walking jump starts your body-true or not I don't know...I just know what I am doing seems to be working. Drink lotsssssss of water too! I thought I could have crystal light & you can - but I've been told it's better to stick to water the first 2 weeks so I gave it up until induction is thru.

      Hope that helps!

Hi Everyone! Day 4 here and it went pretty well. I have a question though. I had the mayo at Chik-fil-A today and I read that it did include high fructose corn syrup BUT it was like 4-5 on down the list. Was that okay to have? I am going to count it as 1 carb for sure.

Also, this morning I went for my 5 AM run BUT I could only do 3.3miles and even that was a struggle for me! I didn't even do my usual speed or distance. I guess this is normal for the first week or so from what I have read here on the forum. When do you think this will pass?

How did all of you do today?

Just a reminder here Jurgita - apples are not allowed till the 'Fruits other than berries' rung of OWL :sadblinky
If you can find Jicamas you can eat them sliced and chilled which some people say gives a similar mouthfeel to that of apples.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

                Hi All!

I am sooooo impressed with the loss I have seen. I'm bummed because my new scale is broke...it's reading a different # everytime but I can tell the inches are coming off. Everyday someone comments on my weight loss. I will go buy another today after work. I didn't walk yesterday because of a rain storm we had...thank goodness, the heat has really started here. I did get on the stair stepper & did 100 steps which doesn't sound like much but I could really feel it & I did my 5lbs on each arm upper workout so I'm still happy. I've got to find a tummy workout that will work other than crunches-they just hurt so bad lol! I have stuck to the induction & really I'm starting to feel good! You all are doing great! I read the posts everyday & get my incentive from you all. Thank you! I think I would pass out on a 3 mile run at 5:00 in the morning! Major thumbs up for that one! Has anyone noticed inches more than pounds? I really think mine are inches the past few days. My jeans are starting to fit without loss of circulation :joy

Thanks for the link Jurgita-I have been looking for recipes. :icondance

There are my before Induction/after one week measures:
                  Cheast 35.6/35.4
                  Waist 28.8/27.8
                  Hips 39.4/38.8
                  Upper arms 11.6/11.4
                  Thighs 22.4/21.6

Thanks for all your support and pieces of advice! :hug

Allyj, have you tried any recipe from the link I gave? Yesterday I made from this website "Josie's Creamy Egg Custard", but it wasn't delicious as I expected.

Godsbeloved79, you have made such a huge progress since you started Atkins diet. Well done! :joy

Talk to you tomorrow. Today my husband and I are doing barbecue with friends.

Take care! Have a nice weekend!

Hi Everyone! I just wanted to wish you strength for this weekend...which I don't think any of you really need it because you have demonstrated your dedication to this WOE thus far.

Day 7 for me and I believe I have lost about 4lbs (I didn't weigh myself Day 1 but I did on Day 4). :joy I feel so great because I also feel much lighter and not so "heavy." I can't wait to see the results on Day 14!!!

How are you all doing? Keep up the AWESOME work!!! :wave

                    Have a nice weekend!

                        First day on induction!

Hi, can I join in for support as well? I started today on induction and this is the first diet I am excited about doing. I have been reading this forum since last week and have gotten alot of great ideas! My name is Amy, I live in PA, I am 31 years old and weigh 160lbs. My goal weight is 125lbs, I am 5'5". It is not as hard as I thought it would be, I am just a little tired today without my daily coffee but I will survive! Can't wait to see the results...

Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well and don't need support from others anymore. Or maybe you came back to your old eating habits :sadblinky
Sorry I didn't appear here all week. Although I was very busy and even didn't have time preparing meals and to workout I still manage not to gain some weight. But I'm very disappointed in myself. Thank God, next week is coming back to normal and I hope I'll be more happier with my weight results at the end of the week.

Could you please tell me what usually you eat for breakfast? I eat eggs every morning and I started to feel like I can't stand eggs taste anymore.

                          Good luck!
