  • Starkist Tuna Creations?? Help!

I didn't have time to bring my lunch to work, so I bought a starkist brand, Tuna Creations...It's tuna, but with Herb and Garlic marinade. The pouch contains 2.5 servings, and it says carb 2g, and fiber 1g,and sugar 1g. Should I not eat this?

I have had those and I think they are fine. The sugar could be natural. In a pinch, they are much better than eating out. I think you're ok. :nod

      That's a weird nutritional label...

Anyhow, I would eat it and count it as 2 net carbs. Next time, be sure to read the nutritional info and the ingredients.

        thanks for the info.
Here's where I get confused figuring out the carb count... Under nutritional facts, the serving size is 2 oz. I was planning on eating the entire pouch for lunch, which says there are a total of 2.5 servings in the pouch. So, how does that equate for carbs? The nutritional facts says total carbohydrate 2 gram, Fiber 1 gram, and sugars 1 gram. What is carb amount per serving? and what is the carb amount for eating the pouch? Sorry, this stuff confuses me!

I would multiply the nutrition numbers by the number of servings - so that would be
2 total carbs -1 carb fibre=1 net carb per serving
1 net carb x 2.5 servings =2.5 net carbs per pack
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

Just remember for every fiber gram you can substract one carb gram from the total....like getting a free carb!!!
