    :sadblinky I am starting Atkins tomorrow and am a little nervous! I have read the book and think i know what i am doing but i am hoping that i can get whatever help i need here. I am looking forward to sitting at my desk eating chicken drumsticks and meat while the other girls eat salad and crispbreads! :joy

      In addition to the book (good for you for reading the book!) take some time to read the FAQ forum here, and the sticky's in the forums you go to. They are all full of good information that you'll find helpful along your journey.

        Thanks for the warm welcomes. I am looking forward to this diet more so than any other diet i have tried, mainly because of the types of food you can have!! :yikes

        The only thing i am not looking forward to is having to cook every night to enable me to bring the 'right' foods to work the next day!!


        But i am determined i am going to do it! I have at least 46 pounds to lose and will hopefully be nearly if not all the way there by christmas.

        What do you think of my chances?

        Any one know where i can get one of those animated counters saying how much i have to go (and hopefully how much i have lost!) :confused

                    Going to surf the net for some yummy receipes then i am off home to cook them all!! Will probably post something new on Tuesday 31st as that is the next time i am in work to get online.

                    Will let you all know my progress!! Arghhhhhhh!

                        Welcome Foxy! I work & have 3 kids. I worried about this also. I don't have alot of time to cook for just me & my family is not doing this. What I have been doing is spending Sunday getting my bacon cooked & put it away. (Anything I can cook ahead of time that will last a little bit I do on the weekend) I make my eggs the night before. I bake alot during the week (chicken - steaks - anything easy that just takes seasoning & a pop in the oven. I also take wraps - they are quick. Celery with cream cheese is one of my favorite snacks. Saturday will be a week for me & I'm loving the results. Everyone here is great & very supportive. Good luck!

                            Well this is my 5th day on induction, i have actually got more will power than i thought, i have been to a pub every night since Friday but have only drank.....wait for it..... water!!!!! Me drink water!! In a bar!!! :yikes

                            I think i am pretty much following the book, having trouble finding stuff i can grab for breakfast so bought some low carb croissants, now i am really worried that these are not allowed as i got weighed yesterday morning and had only lost 1 pound. My official weigh day (i have decided) is every Friday morning so i will just have to wait and see if i have been doing it right. Also worried as my 'burst of energy' hasn't kicked in yet!! urplequ:
