      WOOT! YAAAAAY For Us!
Now I want to go out to eat...but I am surfing the net trying to find places with atkin's friendly menus...TGI Fridays has a pretty good one, a little high in carb count for induction, but I doubt I could eat a whole dinner plate anyway...ALSO high in price...Anyone know of any fast food i can turn into atkins food?

Good job on the loss :clapping

heres the bad news....It will slow down.

Some people are different though. Some people can have a 2-3lbs loss every week, then there are some people who won't lose for a while, then all of a sudden a whoosh comes and a big drop.

Most people who exercise alot has that happen. I think Moochiecat experiences that, but I maybe wrong.

ended up going to Luby's...didn't want to take any chances so i got a grilled chicken caesar salad...only...the chicken wasn't grilled, it had skin on it and everything, it wwas totally nasty but i did eat some of the salad part and managed to get full.

                  step away from the scale

Congratulations on your weight loss Surreal. Please know that Dr Atkns recommends we only weigh once every two weeks and for very good reasons. Atkins is a long term lifestyle, not a fad diet.

Be aware that Initial weight loss is mostly water weight, and weight loss will slow down. That doesn't mean you won't continue to lose inches.

Food is simply fuel and should be regarded as such. Make a list of healthy ways you can reward yourself that are not food related.
Suffering is necessary until you realize it is unnecessary. Eckhart Tolle

I was not rewarding myself with food, I just happened to make the comment that I was going out to eat in this thread.

Weigh to take those pounds off. It would be nice if the loss would stay that fast but, unfortunately for most it doesn't but, the good news if you keep going you'll be at your goal in no time.

                      YAY.

yay! thanks sarah I am really liking this quick weight loss...the only thing I need now is motivation to exercise...it is really hard for me because I live close to downtown Houston. I am not really a morning person at all, and at night it's a bit dangerous to go walking outside where I live. And unfortunately the daytimes are all I have, and it gets hotter than **** here during the summer...we have already had 95+ temps!!

Congratulations on your loss so far, and good job with starting the exercise..it's a must!
As far as fast food goes, you can always grab a burger minus the bun and ketchup. Or have a salad, just be careful about the dressing..

Yep, it's pretty natural for weight loss to slow down.

and yes, I've experienced a slowdown since last November. I've been losing, but it's more gradual....the main thing is though, is that my body is changing all the time! :joy
Exercise can make it appear to slow down, because you are building muscle, and that's heavier than fat. So while your body fat percentage is probably changing, the ordinary scale won't tell you that.
