  • It's all happening! I FEEL BETTER!! (took 19 days!)

Hi Gang - Remember me? Poor wiped out Luna - who was completely dragging on day 15 of induction with aching muscles - extreme fatique and a constant flushed face and warm feeling (not the good kind of warm either!) Well, after 19 days - it happened, I FEEL GREAT!

Much thanks to EVERYONE who wrote and gave their support when I was suffering thru an extended version of Induction Flu. I was starting to think that maybe I wasn't strong enough to handle this way of eating. But those thoughts were put to rest because of wonderful board members who wrote and told me that they too didn't feel good past the two week induction. What a relief that was - I honestly don't know if I could have continued without viewing all your success and hearing your words of wisdom.

Truly - I am like a new gal. I feel great when I wake and have energy to boot! I am FINALLY able to exercise with ease and am following this program to a "T". Even better - my ketostix are reacting positively - so I know that all is good.

I have not weighed in since last week, but I'll tell ya - I do see a difference in the mirror. I am going to hold off on weighing in - because I have such tremendous momentum going - and I don't want to have a stupid number on a scale bum me out. I feel great and I want to keep it that way. I figure there is plenty of time for weigh-ins - I am just so glad to feel good again!

Finally - to any Atkins newbies who feel like they have been hit by a bus - please - follow the advise of these great people. For me - it passed - and thank you all for being their for me!

Thank you all so very much!

      Congratulations!

Luna, so glad to hear you are feeling better. Great attitude too! :nod

Let me also HEARTILY pat you on the back for staying off the scale and allowing wonderful changes to unfold in their own good time. That is just awesome.

        Thanks Brooke!

Thank you very much! I was pleasantly surprised to see the difference. To me - it's all good. I can't wait until I start dropping sizes - I carry most of my weight in my upper body - big upper arms - and uggggg....LOTS of back fat.

I'll tell you - this years styles leave NO ROOM for hiding fat arms and a fat back. It seems most funky tops are sleeveless - or clingy - or like those baby doll tops. I don't know why they make those in plus sizes - I know I want to cover wobbly-bits up - until they're not so wobbly!

Oh - and BIG congratulations on the birth of your daughter. Brooke. Again - thanks for your kind response!

Thank you all so much - this is great - I can't tell you how much I appreciate your positive feedback! As for my changing appearance, a few close friends have also noticed and complimented me - which is very rewarding.

I am the only one on my office floor who eats this way - our facility is HUGE on big order-in lunches. The smells of all the food was really a distraction. Imagine - each day seeing and smelling all these take-out lunches in my office - pizza, hoagies, chinese food, giant deli sandwiches, etc. So - I decided to get out of the office and have my Atkins friendly lunch and take a brisk walk. Suffering with the extreme fatigue - I just couldn't do it. It was SO hard, I was starting to have my doubts about my ability to work this program, until I found you guys here on your bulletin board. Your support helped me get over that hump and now, I am really determined to make this happen.

PS - I didn't realize how "puffy" I looked before. Oh - and as for the healthy glow - thank you VERY much. (but maybe it's just my new highlights!)

YOu keep at it for a while and even the hint of some foods will make you sick.

A girl at work today opened up a bottle of gatorade...and the smell of sugar filled the room to me...I couldn't take it, It was like being around a smoker who lit one up...stuck so bad, and I am an X-smoker.

                    *the hand*

Hi all - I decided since this is a General Audience message board - I decided to edit out the hand! Not that the hand was doing anything wrong- but if I had my "druthers" - it sure would have!

Girl, you look fantastic!!! Kudos! And more importantly, I'm glad to hear that you're feeling fantastic. That's the true aim, isn't it? Not numbers on a scale, as you said, but about feeling good about life and feeling good about yourself. Bravo!
