how many g's of fibre? if it's 55g of carbs ad you make 8 servings (it makes alot) that' 6.8 before fibre.

so it will be fine..unless you were planning on eating the whole thing in one sitting? LOL :yikes
HA! ummm..yeah I ate 3 servings...I couldn't help myself!!! it was SO good! hehe i was a little more full than usual, but I wouldn't say STUFFED. But I was just at 20 carbs for the day so I had a little room to pig out a little...which wasn't really pigging out, just went back for more :-p and the servings were kind of small anyways. Best recipe ever though. I got some leftover for dinner tonight :-p
The carb count could probably be lowered too depending on the sour cream u use i guess..and weather or not you add mushrooms ( i can't stand them so i leave them out..not sure what the does to the carb count?) the type of sausage you use can make a difference too. I thought you could even leave the sausage out and make it with both ground pork and ground beef instead.

I actually like to 'rice' some cooked cauliflower and serve it over that like it's a bed of rice. that way it fills me up more.

it is a great recipe though. i've served it to non lowarbers and they love it too (over egg noodles for them).

I actually found it was even better hearted up the next day!

haha o man i just realized i accidently forgot to write down the sausage in the directions, so mine was just with ground beef...but it still turned out wonderful. Yeah I think the Mayo and Sour cream added up to a lot of carbs, my mayonaise is light mayo (i keep forgettting to go buy the regular kind at the store) so it has 2 carbs per tbsp which i think is like 16 carbs for a half a cup (OUCH!) and the sour cream was daisy, it had 4g for the 1/2 cup it called for.

I made the italian casserole last night, too...I omitted the mushrooms becasue I'm not a fan. And actually, I ended up using Monterey Jack Cheese instead of Mozerella because I didn't have any. It was very yummy and we had leftovers for today's lunch (I'm eating it now).

another awesome recipe! Just had this tonight! The crust tasted like REAL bread I was amazed! So next time I want pizza this is what I'll have!

          DEEP DISH PIZZA
          4 ounces cream cheese, softened
          2 eggs
1/4 cup parmesan cheese, 1 ounce (I used the kind in a can)
1/4 teaspoon oregano or Italian seasoning
          1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces Italian cheese blend or mozzarella cheese, shredded
          1/4 cup pizza sauce
          4 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
Assorted toppings: pepperoni, ham, sausage, 4 ounce can mushrooms, green peppers, bacon, ground beef, etc.
Dash of garlic pepper or garlic powder and some Italian seasoning for top of pizza

In a medium bowl, whisk cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Whisk in eggs until mixture is well-blended and smooth. Add the parmesan and seasonings, then stir in the 8 ounces of mozzarella until completely moistened. Spread cheese mixture evenly in a well-greased 9x13" glass baking dish or lightly greased and lined with parchment paper (see note below). Bake at 375º 20-25 minutes or until evenly browned, but not too dark. Let cool completely on a wire rack. When nearly cooled, take a metal spatula and carefully pry up the edges to loosen from pan. Ease the spatula under the whole crust to loosen. Keep crust in the pan. This makes it easier to remove the finished pizza later. Refrigerate, uncovered, until shortly before serving time.

Spread chilled crust with pizza sauce, then cheese and toppings of your choice. Lightly sprinkle with seasonings of your choice. Bake at 375º about 15-20 minutes or until toppings are bubbly. Let stand a few minutes before cutting.

          Makes 8 servings

Ooh, that deep dish pizza sound good too! Is there a special pizza sauce to use? I would imagine pizza sauce has some sugar?

I always find breakfast a hassle - toast and cereal is so easy, cooking stuff is a mission - but here's one that involves minimum early-morning effort :icondance

Break 2 or 3 eggs into a bowl
Chuck in some chopped mushrooms and bits of tomato
Salt & pepper liberally sprinkled (you could use chilli powder to make it spicy I suppose... maybe I'll try that one tomorrow)
Microwave for a few mins, breaking up every minute or so

It's pretty much just an exciting version of scrambled eggs. Yummy though.

Here's another one: this one's awesome for when you really crave a good gummi bear.

Dissolve sugar-free jelly with boiling water
Instead of pouring into a bowl, pour the mixture into one of those ice-cube freezing things so you get lots of little chunks of jelly instead of one big one
              Freeze

Vanilla ice cream: Add a teaspoonful of vanilla extract and a packet or two of splenda to some cream and whip it up. Freeze. Tastes exactly like vanilla ice cream, just with a weird texture. This is one of my favourites because while you're eating it, it's brilliant thinking of how horrendously illegal this'd be on a low-calorie diet. Mwa ha :guns

I had a hard time finding some ok sauce...I really wanted to get real spaghetti sauce instead of tomato paste or something, so I had to go to 2 different stores to find it...the stuff I bought is called Hunt's No added Sugar sauce...if you want to see what the can looks like it's on their webpage, on the left side

it actually tastes good, but I think it gave me a bit of heartburn...there are 6 carbs per serving, but I use it very sparingly. Your store might carry other low carb sauces but I sure did have a heck of a time finding any more!

Well it isn't just tomato sauce, its more like spaghetti sauce...same thing as pizza sauce. I didn't want to just use plain old tomato sauce, that's not as fun as sugar free spaghetti sauce!

yummy way to cook veggies! I just did this and am eating them now

put veggies of your choice on some tin foil, (can be frozen or fresh, i did it with frozen and it worked fine!) add in a little butter, minced garlic or garlic powder, and some parmasean cheese (i just used the fake kind in a can)
then put another sheet of tin foil on top and close the edges, but leave some room inside so it looks like a tin foil pillow, shake this up so everything gets mixed in good, and put in the oven on 450 for 20 mins...YUM! garlic veggies

I used 4 cauliflower florets, 5-6 little broccoli pieces and 3 asparagus

man its SO good! Pizza has been really the only thing I have craved on atkins...and this pizza totally satisfies it! The crust is soft, but that is how I like it, there are reccomendations to refridgerate the pizza for a long time if you want it crispy though.

                            Spicy BBQ rub

Here is a spice rub that I mixed up and rubbed onto a chicken breast and threw on the grill. It is yummy, BBQ type flavor with some kick and best of all no sugar!

This makes a big batch but it is so good I could see using it for lots of meals!

                            1/3 cup salt
1/4 cup paparika (smoked Paparika would be awsome here)
                            3 Tbsp chili powder
                            2 Tbsp black pepper
                            1 Tbsp cumin
                            1 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp cayanne pepper (adjust according to your preference for heat, this was medium, had some kick but wasn't painful!)

Rub into whatever meat you are cooking and enjoy!

Girl, I wish my BF didn't know it was low carb, and not REAL bread, because he would have LOVED it...but if he knows there are any ingredients in something he doesn't like he wont touch it...it's kind of funny when I sneak things in his food, and he likes the way it tastes better...like he will say "make sure you cook them this way next time, what did you do turn the temp down and cook them longer?" haha i laugh in my head about it...i want to say "no silly theres little bits of chopped up onion and some garlic in there!" but he would freak out, and automatically STOP liking it for that reason...LOL
