  • Whipped Cream?

I have read a lot on here about having to make your own whipped cream, that it's the safest for induction....I'm dying to know how to make this! Thanks a bunch

Buy heavy cream or whipping cream - it's the same.

Pour into a bowl. Add vanilla (I'd say about a tablespoon, but I use a lot!)

Using an electric mixer, beat until it forms soft peaks.

You can add splenda for a little sweetness if you want. You can add cocoa powder and splenda to make a chocolate version which is much like mousse. You can add a block of cream cheese and it tastes exactly like cheesecake, only as a pudding. Add both cocoa and instant coffee (1 teaspoon of the coffee, 2 of the cocoa) and make a mocha fluff.

Thank you so much! So Vanilla doesn't have a high carb count?

I usually whip up about 3 tbsps. that's 2.4 carbs (0.8 per tbsp). You can also at SF maple syrup for nice flavor... and my mom and i buy those SF syrups that you can use for drinks/ italian sodas. They are made with liquid splenda and have no carbs. They come in MANY flavors!

Don't overwhip or it'll turn to butter. keep checking it. deosn't take long

And dont forget the daily limits on cream and the other 'special category foods'
              Special Category Foods
To add variety, each day you can also eat 10 to 20 olives, half a small avocado, an ounce of sour cream OR three ounces of unsweetened heavy cream, as well as two to three tablespoons of lemon juice or lime juice. But be aware that these foods occasionally slow down weight loss in some people, and may need to be avoided in the first two weeks. If you seem to be losing slowly, moderate your intake of these foods
And remember - only one of these foods can be added each day - note the OR at the end of the list. So you ought not to add more than one of them in one day :no
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Here is something really fun to do with heavy whipping cream if you want to make it thick beyond belief (think butter):

Using an olive jar, fill it about halfway with heavy whipping cream. Once ensuring that it's tightly fastened, watch a television program for about 25 minutes as you very slowly swish ... swish ... swish the olive jar back and forth, horizontally. Try it sometime; you'll love it! :yummy
