  • What's For Dinner Tonight?

It's been a long time since we had one of these threads....

    Dinner Tonight:
Grilled Salmon steak with dilled mayonaise
    Greek Salad*
Frozen strawberry slushie (I'm in OWL)

*I use equal amounts of romaine lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers and roasted red peppers. Plus I add fresh mint leaves and fresh Italian parsley.

Oooooooooo, love this thread, and I agree, it's been too long since we had one!

Tonight we're having ribs (cooking them in the oven then will transfer to the BBQ. We have our BBQ sauce on the side now so he can have his and I can have mine and it works really well) and cut up veggies (peppers, zucchini, broccoli) with four-cheese ranch to dip them in.

    YUMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!

A ribeye steak braised in butter, two fried eggs and a piece of low carb/high fiber toast (I'm an OWLer too), and a handful of supplements and water!

I'm having a Tuna Salad made with tuna(obviously lol),eggs, mayo, and a little bit of creamy caeser dressing. That's such a lonely dinner.Still don't have an apetite.I eat like 700 calories a day. It's really bad cause I'm a college student and I'm always on the go and it's easy to forget to eat.

P.S. I'm also a poor college student lol

I'm going to have a rib eye steak (and eat the fat) and then maybe some deviled eggs.

I'm getting a bit sick of the eggs so I might try to have something else to increase the fat content. Not sure what though........ Maybe I'll make some type of sauce for the steak.

              Re: What's For Dinner Tonight?

I'm embarrassed to post my dinner after reading everyone else's yummy, legal choices. I went to a Folk Festival tonight, so I had 2 beef satay sticks from the Wat Lao Mixayaram tent, a pork skewer and a fried plantain from the Latin tent, and then I had about 1 cup of dry roasted peanuts when I got home. And way too much diet coke.

I am on OWL, but still, that's no excuse!

We should put someone in charge of starting a "What's for dinner" thread every day. I get tons of ideas from them. Right now though...clueless...although rib eye sounds really good...or maybe fish...we'll see. Weird...husband is reading my mind again...just said "BBQ sounds good." He can't see what I'm typing and I haven't said a word...creepy.

                      Re: What's For Dinner Tonight?

We had crustless quiche with grilled aubergine (eggplant),boiled courgettes (zuccini)and grilled tomatoes.
I havn't eaten my dessert yet (1/4 cup of blueberries with greek yoghurt) as I was too full to eat it. I am on rung 6 of OWL so the dessert is 'legal' for me!!

                          Re: What's For Dinner Tonight?

We had fried cauliflower in parmessan cheese and grilled chicken breasts. We had a side of 0 card ranch dressing. I washed it down with a very large glass of water with a slice of lemon. The cauliflower was great! For a light snack I had 3 strawberries.

Tonight I have chicken breast marinating in lemon juice, olive oil and rosemary, and we'll be grilling that on the BBQ, and having a salad to go along with it.
