  • It's my 1st day (again)

Well, I woke up late this morning after a long weekend and realized we don't have barely anything in the fridge. No eggs (which I'm sick of anyway) no bacon...nothing I'd typically eat for breakfast during induction.

But I'm off to a good start considering it's 12pm and I'm having my first meal. I know shame on me...but I could have said "I'll start tomorrow when I have done my shopping"... but I didn't. I found that we still had some cheese and salami, and dill pickles and having that right now.

I'm really hoping that I'm not going to have a hard time swallowing and gagging on my food like all the other times I've done this, and going to apply the suggestions that were given to me in another thread that I had started in the "Second time around" section.

I'll be updating my induction day by day here in this thread...and I'd really appreciate your support, because I know it's not going to be easy and I really need all the help I can get to make it through this time without quitting.

Did you check out the recipe section on this board? Im sure there are some good ways to spice up the breakfast for you. Have you tried the mock danish?Im not real sure what the recipe is, but you can search the boards and find the recipes. Have you tried adding things to your eggs to make them taste a little better? Maybe a deviled egg or egg salad for breakfast. I have even seen other posts on here where they had mixed up the meals, like having supper for breakfast. Doesnt really matter what order you eat your meals as long as its good, good for you, and its something. Hope this helps!

      It's my 1st day again...(Day 3)

Things are going good...I just started my 3rd day with a mock danish and a big glass of water. So far I haven't been feeling sick or anything which is great...the first few days are always the hardest for me to get through.

I've already lost a couple pounds of water weight which is nice because I know that after a couple more days it will be fat that I'm losing..woohoo!!!

Anyway, I'm glad I got back on this...I'll keep you all updated!

Re: It's my 1st day (again)

I am on day 10 of induction. I am doing pretty good so far and this is my first try at a low carb diet, but for health reasons, the doctors actually told me to do low carb, so I decided to try Atkins. I have lost 8 lbs to date. I hope that I can keep losing. And I am so glad that I found this board, cause I may need help to stick with this. At least my fiancee is doing it with me and that will help me out a lot.
