Welcome aboard. You guys fit together nicely! My only advice is to take your measurements as well as listen to what everyone else said. Good luck!

        Re: Out of topic-newbie

Yup, we took our measurements this eve (thur night), as well as weighed in. I started tonight (since I work mids, so my hours are a little scewed anyway, 11pm-7am work schedule). Had a salad with 1 cup of lettuce, 1 tbs of an italian dressing (so 1 carb there), 3 oz of salmon from one of those packets by the tuna cans (the ones ready to eat or whatever). Plus 3 strips of bacon crumpled up, and 5 olives to spice it up a bit. Was pretty good. Unfortunately, right next to where I work (our office) is a snack bar, which I'm having to walk by all the time, no real choice in that. Used to be what I ate from every night practically (and most of that was junk food and candy and soda, ug). So far so good though, just willing myself to ignore it. I've also drank about half the water I need to today, so guess that won't be a problem for me (I'm a heavy drinker, which works out now that that's all water, but was BAD when that was all soda!).

Congratulations on a good start to your induction food and water-wise

As to the proximity of the snack bar and its temptations please make sure you ALWAYS have a stash of legal snacks you can indulge in if the sights and smells of its carbladen goodies give you a case of the 'munchies'.

On Atkins you are allowed to eat if you feel you need to - but make it easy on yourself by having more than enough legal snacks to hand.

After a while you will find those no-no's lose their appeal if you can stick to the allowed food list.

I wont wish you and your fiance good luck - if you stick to the list you will have success without needing 'luck'
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
