  • Anyone else with 5-10pounds to lose?

    Im Back

Wandered off for a while after reaching my goal weight at the beginning of the year. Have always maintained the low carb way of life but lately have lost all Carb control. Im growing bigger every day. i have high school reunion in two weeks and need to get back on induction asap.

I find all the info on this site fabulous, but am looking for those with fewer pounds to lose. Do you do things slightly differently, watch calories, smaller meals????

I am 5ft4" and currently weigh 57kgs. I carry alot of weight in my hips and bottom areas and need to lose some weight and firm up fast. Any advice from anyone would be great.

    Glad to be back.

There is only one way to do Atkins properly - no matter what your weight loss goals. With such a small amount of weight to lose I would suggest some extra cardio exercise and by all means - get off the carb bandwagon!

    Good luck!

Perry's right - regardless of how much weight you need to drop, the rules are exactly the same as are the steps to get there.

I hit goal and maintained it for almost a year before I allowed 15lbs to creep back up on me. 5 of them are gone again, so yep - down to the last 10 here too.

I do watch calories as well as carbs, but that's not anything "different".

See ya around and I wish you success!

Yes, same advice whether it's last 5-10 pounds or the first. The last pounds are just bound to be more stubborn, so it'll pay off to be more intense about it. Follow the plan strictly and track your calories eaten and burned by using fitday.com. Don't go low fat! Take your vitamins and supplements, drink lots of water, up the exercise, and get plenty of sleep. Remember that upping the exercise may have you retaining some water at first, and building muscle might offset some of the weight loss on the scale, but two weeks of intense exercise can give great results in firming the body. Use a measuring tape and try not to look at the scale too often.

Best of luck to you and enjoy the reunion!
