    If it's a cardio day, I get on the treadmill the moment I roll out of bed - before breakfast. If I'm going to the gym for resistance training that morning, I brush my teeth & apply sunscreen first.

    Fitness has to be the first thing I do, or I think about having to do it the entire day. (Annoying!) So, I get it out of the way first thing so that I can relax & focus on my other obligations for the day.

    P.S: Denise, you & I are both Sagitarrians.

      I don't think it matters when you do it. exercise, and your metabolism gets a kick start that lasts throughout the whole day.

        Depends on your intensity level .. personally, I prefer to exercise before I eat, but on my "half-marathon days", I have to eat a high protein/high fat meal to sustain me for 2.5 hours of running. Just make sure if you *do* eat first, to wait at least an hour before doing rigorous exercise.

        JUST DO IT!

          I exercise after I eat. Being on Atkins I get a surge of energy right after I eat. Also I like to burn off what I just ate. It just helps me keep track and stay on track. Before my son came along 7 months ago I would exercise 20-30 min every time I ate. Now thats cut down because I have just started back with atkins.
