I agree, you have to exercise. You can walk one day, do weights the next and do an exercise video the next if you want. I chose to walk everyday and add the other forms of exercise in 2-3 times a week when I first began. As you get used to your routine, you'll notice that instead of having to motivate yourself to exercise, you will begin to crave your walks and/or exercising. Its also great for you mentally as it gets your blood pumping and makes you feel more fit. When you cease to exercise, those are the times that you feel tired and depressed.
One thing I did was get headphones and listened to music and motivational tapes from the library when I first began. This really got me revved up and kept me motivated to make it happen.
