Can Someone give me an Induction Menu??

I have no problem following a diet if someone is telling me exactly what to put into my mouth. Could anyone give me a sample menu of what they did during induction that gave them maximum weight loss? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.....Megs

It will be hard to do that, since everyone looses weight at a different rate. I would go to www.fitday.com and use the food counter itll help you get close to the % you need.

      Hi and welcome.

Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002 edition, tells you exactly what you can and cannot eat, including the amounts.

There is a wide variety of foods we are allowed to eat on the Atkins Diet. The diet can be individualized according to personal tastes, preferences and food tolerances, so it's best if you put the menu together according your personal tastes, preferences and food tolerances.

Also as electra51975m said, each person is different and loses weight at different rates due to age, sex, activity level, pre-existing medical conditions, and metabolism.

I am like you in many ways. What I would suggest is getting a copy of the book and the acceptable foods list and make a menu for yourself. I took the foods I liked and made a simple weekly menu. OTHERWISE there are some good menus in the menu section.

        Good Luck.

I am 21/5'8''/238lbs....I lose weight quickly on Atkins, but find it hard inventing things to eat so I dont get bored. This morning I had turkey roll ups for breakfast. How much food should you be eating? And of what?

You should be eating as much food as stops you feeling hungry - which is going to be different for everyone.

As for ideas - there are often threads on the various forums called something like 'what's for breakfast? (or lunch or dinner) where people post what they are having that day.

I just did a search for posts with the word 'breakfast' in their titles and got these.

Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Just remember that the eating plan on Atkins isn't to gorge yourself on unlimited protein. I get asked that a lot by my co-workers.

Make sure you drink PLENTY of WATER!!

Otherwise, reading DANDR would be the best thing to help yourself.

You also have to remember that this is a way of life, not just a two week fad diet or something. The point is to change your way of eating and make it so you can keep doing this for the rest of your life. You don't want us all hanging around for the rest of your life telling you what to eat all the time, do you? As others have said, look around the Board and read the book. You'll get the hang of it in no time.

Be VERY careful about that "sample" menu in the book, because some of those items don't agree with the Rules of Induction and the Induction Acceptable Foods list.

What you might want to do is go to the Review My Menu forum and read through the posts. You can see what others are eating, and you can read the reviews of it to see what they were doing right and what they needed to tweak up.
