  • Not a significant source of....

    Just curious as I've been away from Atkins for some time and would like to re-start.... In the nutritional information for many products it states: not a significant source of dietary fiber, or sugar. Are these products acceptable?

    it depends on which phase of diet u are,if u are in induction as u will be when u restart,i would refrain those prouducts unless written acceptable

      Here on ADBB we use Dr Atkins book DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION the 2002 edition last one her wrote. That book stresses real foods in our eating plan.

      Read your book and reread chapter 11. The only acceptable foods are the ones listed there for induction. those 3 cups of veggies are the main source of your carbs and then you add a protein source and some fat and you are doing Atkins.

        Yep, as 2big says it's all laid out in the book.
        Focus on fresh foods close to their natural state and avoid packaged processed foods. Your body and your digestion will thank you in the long run.
