  • My First Day

    Today is my first day BACK on Atkins. I posted yesterday about being scared and am thankful to those that replied to me. Today is the first day of a new adventure. I am going to go to the store and pick up a couple of things to keep in the frig for snacks. I am also going to plan out a menu and keep it handy. I have to admit I am still a little scared but maybe it's good to be scared.

    Last night for dinner I ate a salad with tuna. Funny thing, it tasted soooo good. It has been a while since I have eaten a salad and I enjoyed it so much. I am going to have a salad again for lunch. Haven't had breakfast yet this morning but I will probably fix me an egg with a piece of cheese.

    The hardest thing will be Starbucks. I always enjoyed a latte every now and then. But Starbucks can wait. My health is much more important.

    Looking forward to making new friends and loosing a bunch of old ones....

    Congratulations and Welcome back! You sound like you have a sound plan in place, planning your menus and shopping ahead of time can only guarantee your success! You are going to do great!! Good luck

      welcome Kelley! Isnt it funny how things we often forgot about (tuna!) turn out to be so darn yummy! I know that was one thing I kinda forgot about and now, I love the stuff and eat it regularly. You will have lots of discoveries like that which make it so much fun!

        WooHoo for your great attitude!

        Keep the Induction Acceptable Foods List and the Rules of Induction handy too. So you can refer to them whenever the need arises.
