Re: Pork skins good or bad?

I have used them when I do a nice salad, crush them up, sprinkle on top for a 'crouton' effect. However, do this after you add your dressing and toss your salad, moisture + pork rinds = 'landfill'.

I made the awful mistake several months ago trying to make fake nachos. I thought hmm cheese....ok.......sour cream.....ok.....homemade salsa.....ok.....
Microwave. Blllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech!!!! It turned them back to a gelatinous disgusting....excuse me, I'll be right back....................

    That was terrible.

Oh yes another thing, I know everybody knows this....but BBQ pork rinds....have SUGAR in them. Yes SUGAR, CORN SYRUP SOLIDS, sigh.

You can get hooked on the BBQ if not careful. You'll find yourself saying, oh a few BBQ won't hurt me, then next thing you know, BBQ pork rinds is all your eating.

The ChiliLime and SaltVnegar all have SUGAR.

The plains are okay for breading, and yes I've used them as a meatloaf filler instead of Bread Crumbs but it gives the meatloaf a weird taste.

    Good Luck!

I love them but I retain so much water the next day that I make them an occasional treat...I get the microwave ones...spicy...yummy!
