  • Restarting been off for about 2 weeks and a half

    Hey everyone I'm very dissappointed in myself becuz I have fallin off the wagon.lol...But I want to get back on again, but this time I have the book to read (just got it)....I'll be finishing it up tonight...I know everyone has a different reason for falling off the wagon, mine is because I started college about a month ago and I got so tempted to eat from the snack machine like everyone else, and that's when I feel off. Honestly the first few days I didn't get anytihing from the snack machine but my days became so hectic by the 5th day (husband in navy so had to change schedule once I started school) I needed to eat sumthin because I was failing to eat breakfast. Anyway I will be starting tomorrow, I'm praying becuz I really do need to lose this weight, I'm gettin to the point where I hate to look in the mirror at my body. Please leave comments and advice, because I need all the support I can.

    Danielle, you CAN do it. You need to pack yourself a "survival kit" for when you are at school or find yourself in a situation when all that's available are the illegal foods. I was trying to find the thread I originally saw on here, but couldn't...

    Anyway, tuna packed in those bags instead of a can, packets of mayo, babybel cheese or some of those cheeses from Hickory Farms or Swiss Colony that don't have to be refrigerated. I'm sure some others can give some more ideas.

      Yes, Danielle, Validrouge is right - you need to take some Atkins-friendly snacks with you for when you need a snack.
      One of our members used to have a signature quote which read
      Failing to plan is planning to fail
      So make your plans and take your snacks with you and you won't fail!!

        You can do it!! You are worth it, believe in yourself. Talk yourself into being thin, not into eating food that is not good for you. You can always have leftovers from dinner for breakfast the next morning, if you don't have time to cook. This way of eating works, and you will feel so great you won't believe it!! Hang in there, you are worth it!!!
        What would we do without it?

          Yes, that's right, you can do this and purchasing THE BOOK is your first step and coming back on the wagon your 2nd. Congratulations

            Thanx you guys you all made me feel a lot better. Today is DAY 2 for me yesterday I did very well...of course I didn't have school yesterday though lol...I'm gonna go grocery shopping for induction friendlt foods tomorrow. Is beef jearky alright??? I can take some cheese....what else is good? I'll search the forum for some more ideas.

            Thanx again everyone... oh and I guess my 2weeks of not being on it didn't really mess me up too bad becuz I orignially started at 242....my weight today is 229...so that's 13 pounds. My first goal is 220...I'm on my way...more motivated with the 13lb loss.

            Thanx to my husband he is so supportive...Love me.lol
