    Re: What's For Dinner Tonight?

I would like to have asparagus, I have never liked it much, but a friend fixed it one time and I loved it. Can anyone tell me how to properly steam it?

Tonight we're having ribeye and I'm going to run to the store to pick up fennel to serve with our steaks. Heidi had a good recipe with fennel that I've got to find.

Steaks marinated all day in Kikkoman soy sauce (because it has no added sugar), ginger, garlic powder, and one splenda packet. Served with sauted onions, peppers, garlic, and mushrooms--and a spring mix salad with chunks of avocado and Stilton blue cheese crumbles.
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

Phode, what is fennel like? I always hear that its got an anise flavor (which I hate!) so Ive been hesitant to try it.

Last night I made Fried Chicken. (boneless skinless breasts -on sale-, dredged in egg and then covered with parmesan cheese. Since Im onthe nut rung I added some almond flour as well. Didnt add much to it, I think I prefer the plain parm which is safe for induction, and VERY yummy). Had some gorgeous radishes (raw) on the side.

Tonight.... Im not sure. I might make fried chicken again. lol. I love the stuff but kinda forget about it for awhile. Considering making creamed spinach as well since I picked up some nice spinach at the farmers market. (parmesan cheese and heavy cream for the sauce, salt and pepper, garlic to taste)

That's exactly the sort of flavor it has. You will either love it or hate it. I don't think there is any in between. Hubby and I like it, but I know many folks who do not.

              hi lady
my favorite way to make asparagus is on the grill. make sue you buy the thin, tender stalks. i drizzle with oil, then sprinkle garlic powder and cruhsed chili pepper, then toss onto the grill, they are sooooooo good. watch out for portion control! I've never, once, been able to stick to the daily max, they're addictive!

for dinner im probably having some leftover tuna salad, i cant be bothered to cook...

The stuffed cabbage casserole was really good, and much easier than stuffed cabbage leaves.

Here's a link to the recipe I used. Hope you enjoy it.
