Here is where something like www.fitday or fitdaypc is so useful, as you can make a custom food with the carb count of the whole recipe and then enter 1/6th or whatever fraction of it that goes into what you are eating and get fairly accurate carb counts.

As long as we are using spices in moderate amounts there is no problem. We try to keep our carb level as close to 20 as possible, however, if we go a little bit above or below, its no big deal. Its just a guideline and we don't have to be so anal about it that we can't enjoy our food. As long as you are sticking to the foods on the induction friendly list you will be just fine.
