Calling all experts!
I am on day 8 of induction - and I have been trying to do it as clean as possible. However, I am overly concerned with salad dressings. I can't enjoy a salad without one, yet they all seem to be the backdoor for hidden carbs to sneak through.
You see, even with my research I missed that balsamic vinegar was not an allowed food. I went 4 days with having it on my salads lunch & dinner before somebody clued me in to the fact that it had added sugar in it. So I stopped using balsamic vinegar and started looking for new salad dressings to replace it.
Which brings me to my concern. I have looked at all the "allowed" dressings, such as blue cheese, ranch, italian, etc. However, despite them being full fat & low carb (in other words, not the "lite" versions) they all list sugar as an ingredient. For example, Ken's Steakhouse Blue Cheese Salad Dressing is only 2 grams of carbs per serving, but it has sugar listed in its ingredients.
I am not beating myself up for having balsamic vinegar for a few days in the begining, but I don't want to repeat the mistake of having anything thats not on the "Allowed Foods List". I am trying to have a clean induction!
Soooo, any help pointing me in the right direction of what salad dressings are fine (Ken's Steakhouse Blue Cheese Dressing?) will be very appreciated!
