    As far as hunger pains go - they are a NO NO on Atkins! EAT some meat! Roll up a few slices of ham or something and eat! I LOVE this WOE! The only thing we are counting is carbs.

      I'm on day 11 of induction...doing great. I do need to drink more water though! Ugghhh...I hate the taste of plain water. LOL Can't wait until day 14 so I can weigh again.

        Good thing.....
        Husband is going out of town for a week...I'll be able to control the household menu this whole week without him being around! Temptations will only be on me!! So far, doing o.k. day three of induction and no headache today!

          Great job! Take some ibuprofen or tylenol for the headache. That's your body detoxing off of the carbohydrates. As for the hunger, when you first feel hungry, drink a big glass of water and wait about 10-15 minutes. Our bodies have probably misinterpreted THIRST for HUNGER for years which is a contributing factor of our weight gain. If that doesn't solve the problem, then you really are HUNGRY and it's okay to go ahead and eat. If you are between meals, make yourself a high fat snack. During induction a quick fix was cream cheese on pork rinds, or cream cheese rolled up in ham. One ounce of cream cheese goes a LONG way. And it'll curb that hunger really quick. When my body finally figured out that when it sent me hunger signals, it was only going to get water and fat...it quit sending them so often LOL

            You could also do cream cheese on red/yellow/orange/or green bell peppers. Yummy!
