  • What's for Dinner Tonight?

I'm on OWL Phase so tonight's dinner has more veggies than Induction allows, but you get the idea...

Turkey chunks (cubes of roast turkey breast) with a mustard mayonnaise
A salad of tomatoes, basil and mozzarella cheese
    Okra fries (http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ad.php?t=16077)

Sirloin steak or pork. Depends on if I have to cook or if DH is cooking. I just cannot seem to cook a darn steak

                    Hi Lynsey,
I read your post. I start Atkins tomorrow. What do you think of the diet so far? Good luck on your journey!

One of the best recipes I've ever come across, imo. They get nice and crispy-crunchy. I slice them lengthwise to resemble fries, but tomorrow I'll try slicing them sorta diagonally and see what happens.

                          Re: What's for Dinner Tonight?

Tonight's dinner (I'm in OWL phase so the veggie amounts are higher than Induction amounts, but you get the idea.)

Cheese chunk hamburger (enclose a cube of cheese in the ground meat, making sure to really seal the cheese within the meat to prevent oozing during cooking) topped with sauteed mushrooms and crunchy fried shallots
Green bean salad (steammed green beans, green onion, mixed with lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, fresh thyme, and chilled)
Okra fries (I went a little crazy at the farmer's market and bought alot of okra!)

                            Yum Megs! Sounds great.

I had to cook yesterday . So today, hopefully, DH is making steak and buttered shrimp. If he doesnt then I will be having hamburger - maybe like Megs just mentioned.
