    Re: Wow, this thing works.

Ok, I have 10 days down. I'm not sure how others have felt, but something about this woe really haunts me. It feels too easy, like I'm eating carbs somehow without realizing I am. I've examined things exhaustively though, and it appears not. I think I have been drinking too much splenda soda, and have still been drinking full-on coffee, and I worry how that will affect my end number, but the reasoning (or perhaps rationalizing) part of me says it's impossible for caffeine to undermine me. I've resisted the temptation to pull the scale out of the closet to check progress. I never took measurements, so I decided to pick up a pair of jeans today, a size lower than current and same brand, and decided to try those on after induction to see if they fit. Well, they fit tonight. So, I take that as a positive. But, I still feel like I'm cheating the system somehow, and I hope that goes away with further progress.

I'm glad it is seeming easy for you! Isn't it great when you are in the zone? During induction artificial sweetners are limited to 3 a day.

Are you cheating yourself? Maybe. Some people can drink the diet pop and have the coffee with no side effects. Others it greatly slows down their weight lose. Unfortunately you chose not to go 2 weeks without it so you won't know how or if it is effecting you. You are still losing though so you are doing good. May have been more without those two things but hey you are sticking to the food plan and feeling like it is easy so hopefully that will continue.

I cut mine out for 2 weeks induction and I think 2 weeks extended induction. Then introduced diet pop back in only when we were out for supper or lunch. I didn't introduce coffee back in until I was several months into the plan. They did not seem to affect me reaction wise. Though, definately calorie and fat wise as I was adding some cream and stevia to my coffee. So that meant I was taking away from whole foods for the coffee. Not good for me. .

Do keep in mind that you may have to cut those things out later as you are getting lower in weight and tweaking stuff to see what works for you. I wish you continued success.

        Hi
I feel the same way. I am on day 8 and don't feel the cravings I did with South Beach. I only had about 15 pds to lose. but I did not want to thow away the beautiful clothes I selected last year. So this is really working . I have about 8 more to go and then I will fit into my beautiful fall/winter clothes!

Well, 2 weeks in induction, at least once being tricked into cheating by restaurant, I've lost a shade over 18lbs.

I'm headed for 2 more weeks of it. God bless, and pass the pork cutlets.
