  • Last day of induction and it really works!!

Wow...I can't believe that I've made it to day 14 of induction and it wasn't even that hard. In fact, after the first few days, it was downright easy.

I won't be going far because I'm going to stay on induction for another week and then probably go to rung one of owl and sit for awhile there.

You know, I was really skeptical at first...up until two years ago, I never had to worry about my weight at all. I ate what I wanted, it didn't matter if I excercised or not, I always stayed at a steady 135. So, when the pounds started packing on, I didn't know what to do or how to do it. I had never taught myself any self control because I didn't feel like I needed to.

But this has been amazing. I'm almost glad that I've gotten myself in a position where I need to lose weight, because even though I used to stay thin, the way I was eating wasn't healthy for me in the long run. Over the past two weeks, I've started to learn to make healthy choices and I've found a way to eat that I can live with for the rest of my life.

I don't know what has happened on the scale since I haven't stepped foot on it since my first day of induction. But, to be honest, I don't really care. I followed the rules, I feel great, my clothes are getting looser, I'm excercising regularly, and I have more energy than I've had in years.

Thanks everyone who has given my support over the past few weeks. I'm so glad I found this board and I'm looking forward to the rest of my journey.

Kathy, I have not followed your induction, but this is one of the best posts I have read. It's so well worded, and good hearted! I am so glad you are having the success that you are. I believe that as I have read over and over Dr Atkins book, this journey of yours is a prime example of what He really wanted to provide for his patients...
I think this is such a good testimonal. I can only hope a moderator or two will catch this, and make it a sticky...
    It's so good...
Good luck to you as your journey onward. Keep this positive attitude and balanced approach to the scales...You are a wonderful example.

Thank you...you're going to make me cry.

I actually haven't been around as much as I would have like to been during my induction period but I've popped in often and read posts, especially when I knew that I was going to be in a tempting situation. I really believe that without this board, I would not have made it through a clean induction.
