Day 7..Starting back at DAY1!!!!!

  • Day 7..Starting back at DAY1!!!!!

    Well I have lost 5 lbs since I started and feel pretty good except for the fact that I cheated on day 6( ate way too late at night and way too much) and gained back 2 lbs( I would have been at 171 today). Sigh! So much for the motivation. Anyway I am human. I bought a mirror at the bottom of my stairs. It is long and shows my whole figure. So I look at it everyday to give myself some more motivation. So let me say I am starting over on Day 7. I am back to Day 1.

    It is Day 1 for me and here I am with a clean slate. Mon-Thurs exercise still going! 40-60 mins cardio.










    5'1" 29 y/o Female
    SW 175/CW 175/GW 110
    Day 1 4/20/09
    MG1: 165-pedicure
    MG2: 155-get into size 9 jeans
    MG3: 145-massage
    Waist: 39.5

    Today is Day 7 for you. If you don't count it that way, then the metabolic resistance charts in Chapter 12 will be completely useless to you in figuring out how to plan the remainder of your Atkins.

    Just pick up where you left off.

    More importantly, you need to sit down and figure out why yesterday happened. Was it the weekend? Was it stressful emotional event? Were you bored? Figure out what happened. Then figure out coping mechanisms to deal with similar situations. If you have problems figuring out how to cope, then ask us here on ADBB to help you figure out ways to deal with stressful/trigger situations.

      Thanks... I figured that I didn't eat enough small meals yesterday and gorged in the evening. It was bad planning on my part. Also, I did not have enough fluids which now that I think about it triggered my impulsive eating. I was doing well the first five days. I have to make sure that I don't fall off because of poor planning.. I lost 5lbs so it wasn't like it was all a waste. I just feel my induction should be clean...is that wrong to do?

        Nothing wrong with a clean Induction. In fact, that's what Dr. Atkins wanted for us to do.

        By DAy 3, your body had depleted its glycogen stores and had switched to that 'fat-burning'/ketogenic metabolism. So you might count today as "day 1", but to your body it's "day 7". 7 days from now will be Day 14 according to your body's metabolism. So take note of your weight loss 7 days from now and use that number to figure out your degree of metabolic resistance and the rest of your Atkins.
