Can you have Pork Rinds during induction? I needed the "crunch" sensation and had some so I hope so!

I do believe that you can have pork rinds on induction...they have no carbs. You want to be careful of the salt however and don't go overboard. I love them and find so many people who think they are gross!!!! I like the crunch too. I buy the barbecue and hot spicy chili ones too. But you know what my favorite snack is??? Pork rinds and just a little peanut butter. You can't have peanut butter on induction, but later try it...I love it in the morning. I only use about a 1/2 a tsp of peanut butter.

I also use crushed pork rinds as a filler for hamburger patties or these great salmon patties that I make for me that my family think are disgusting...but I like them. I have kind of a boring family to cook for. Most of them don't like emom's experimentations. So, I cook for them and usually separately for me. I love to try anything! Well, good luck with your induction. I love Atkins and I especially love this BB. I have been fairly successful on Atkins due to the support I get here. I have been on this WOE for 2-1/2 months and have lost 13 pounds. I cheated a little over the holidays and didn't lose any last week...but I have jumped back on. Good luck.

Ans also be careful of some of the flavored ones as they may contain sugar, like the BBQ. Otherwise...enjoy!

Thanks for the heads up. I haven't yet opened the BBQ so I will check those for sure. I usually just get the palin or chili. See, Tfreel what a life saver this BB is???

Technically, yes - but I always like to avoid extra salt when I can. Your mileage may vary!

              Re: Pork Rinds

Tfreel do you have a favorite brand of pork rinds? There is a thread around here somewhere where people were chiming in with which they thought were the best. Several people said they liked the ones from Wallmart. I gave those a try and agree with them, they are quite good. As someone that liked pork rinds before starting Atkins I'm curious if you already had a brand you prefer.

Hey just a suggestion with pork rinds, i have been eating them with a small amount of cream cheese. It sounds odd, but for me its like eating chips and dip.

I like the plain ones from Price Choppers. They seem to have a better flavor then the ones from Wal-Mart, but I will eat both! Thanks for the heads up on the BBQ ones!

Now cream cheese is one thing I have never tried on Pork Rinds,,,but sounds good. I like all pork rinds...doesn't matter the brand...love them with a little peanut butter!!! I have also had them with a little guacamole...I think they are much better than chips...I can hear some people going...yuk! I do agree, though, that you have to watch the salt. I do limit them!

They are also very good dipped in sour cream. But I also try limiting them.

Yeah I use them when I feel I need to crunch on something and I am going to try some with cream cheese eventually because it does sound wonderful!

You can crush up pork rinds to use as breading for chicken or porkchops before pan frying or baking also.

I tried the cream cheese...yummy! Tonite i made nachos for the family and I melted cheese over pork rinds and had my special nachos with a little sour cream, home made chili and some wonderful guacamole that I made with a chipolte salsa that we got for Christmas. It was yum yum! Those pork rinds are so versatile!!!
