I know the typical advice is to rest as much as possible and the headaches, nausea, lack of energy, etc. will pass. But I'm wondering - would it be so bad just to take some ibuprofen, especially for the caffeine-detox headaches? Is there some prohibition against it? (I can't remember if this was addressed in the book or not; it's been a while since I read it.)
I am thisclose to being able to give up coffee and the metric ton of artificial sweeteners I always put in it. I was sick last week and have since just lost my taste for the stuff (I've been craving water instead), and I figure I might as well take advantage of that and just stop drinking the joe. But I am a wimp when it comes to pain and discomfort (which was why I threw in the towel on day 6 of my last attempt at Induction - the nausea just would not go away). These headaches get me, just as I know the return of the nausea will frustrate me if I decide to give Induction another shot.
Thoughts?
