  • Day 1! How excitement!!

    Hi everybody!

I am on day 1. I had 2 eggs scrambled for breaky and am currently having a 1 cup of lettuce, 1 cup of mushroom, chicken and mayo salad. For dinner I plan on a steak with cauliflower and brocoli (with butter on the veg). Oh and I have some cheese for snacks. I have read the book and am soooo excited. I am a carboholic, so am not looking forward to the expected withdrawels. Combined with the sugar and caffiene withdrawels, I will be lucky to not kill anyone in my immediate vicinity.

I am not too worried about being able to stick with the foods at the moment, but am worried about being able to consume enough water. I think I need to drink approx. 4 litres of water a day or 16 glasses. I find that rather daunting.

There are some abbrieviated words that I am not sure what they mean. I know what OWL is, can someone enlighten me to what some of the others are?

Also what is the difference between a clean induction and a normal induction?

I have been looking around this place for a few weeks, so looking forward to getting involved in everything!

Not sure which abbreviations you mean, give us a list.
Way of eating is WOE, way of life is WOL

Some people find it easier to drink the water in a big cup to keep track of what they're drinking better. Always drink a couple of cups at each meal. If you're exercising, that helps you want to drink. Some like it cold, some like it room temperature, just experiment with what you like.

You may not feel like exercising the first few days, but start as soon as you can, it really helps the weight and inches fall off.

A clean induction means ABSOLUTELY NO CHEATS. Hopefully all normal inductions are clean, but not always in the real world.

Hope you've read the book, it really helps you understand the reasoning behind this WOL.

Oh, don't forget to measure yourself! You'll be amazed at the inches that disappear.

Best of luck! Join some challenges and get involved, it really helps.

Ahhhhh I think they were the 2 main abbrivations I was interested in. Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

I have managed about 2.5 litres so far today. I should be able to get it up to 3 by bed time.

I am already feeling the affects. I am headachey, tired and a grumplebum.

I have a torture machine, opps I mean cross trainer here in preperation for some exercise, also a gym ball which is fun.

I have read the book, the first half twice and then gone back to check stuff.

Where do I find the challenges?

      Thanks for your help.
