And since day 7, I noticed that the feeling of hunger or the feeling of wanting to eat is simply not there. Like this morning I woke, saw food and was like "meh", walking by it. I know Im supposed to eat, but my body is saying otherwise. This is normal right???????????

Re: Its Day 8
I had similar experiences. I can now go to Golden Coral and honestly dont even look at the dessert bar. Prior atkins that is the first place I would visit for bread :-/ Are you sleeping better but less as well? Crazy hunger/cravings between meals gone? Exercising better? (more energy) I have experienced all that. My 4th week started yesterday.

Re: Its Day 8
Sleeping less? I've always been a person who slept 4-6 and was fine, but the hours I am sleeping is solid. Crazy hunger and cravings are mostly gone. I've been up since 830am this morning and have had no desire to eat anything, when in the past the first thing I did after my shower was eat. Energy is up a bit I think.Originally posted by crosadoI had similar experiences. I can now go to Golden Coral and honestly dont even look at the dessert bar. Re: Its Day 8
Sleeping less is not the right term I guess.. prior Atkins I could easily sleep 8-9 hours and hardly wake up in between. Now my wife walking to the bathroom early morning could easily wake me up specially if I have sleept 3-4 hours already(feel rested). I also wake up without hunger. I changed my workarout routine from afternoons to early morning to compensate. It is working much better for me freeing up my afternoons. I go to the GYM around 6am (wake up at 5:30) on empty stomach. Then get a shower and eat breakfast.
good luck

Re: Its Day 8
yes. the hours I sleep are refreshing and when I wake its not easy to go back to sleep, cause I feel rested. I do my exercise in the mornings too, on an empty tank.Originally posted by crosadoSleeping less is not the right term I guess.. prior Atkins I could easily sleep 8-9 hours and hardly wake up in between. Re: Its Day 8
I went through this last month. It got so bad I was gagging on my food. I had to force feed myself. You HAVE to eat xproject. You don't want your body going into starvation mode, cuz then you'll stop losing. It does get better but I find that my appetite is still suppressed, which IMO is a great thing. I don't eat elephant sized plates of food anymore. Try just a boiled egg in the morning, or some slices of bacon (even though that doesn't sound appealing, smelling it cooking will change your tune).
Edited to add: I used to be known as the 'girl who sleeps'. I slept for a hobby. I enjoyed it. I used to get 16-18 hours of sleep a day. I was sleeping my life away! Now I am up at 8 am even on my days off. I usually go to bed aorund 10 unless it's tattoo night.30/F/5'6"

Re: Its Day 8
Yep, both the lack of appetite and the sleeping thing are completely normal on Atkins.
BEWARE of not eating just because you don't feel like it. Try to eat a little something every couple of hours. A couple of devilled eggs, some string cheese, a chicken leg.......something.
No matter what, you must still eat your required veggies and protein and fat. You should try to keep your calories at or about the same as your bmi.
If you don't, two things can/will happen: 1. You will go into starvation mode, and stop losing. 2. Your body will suddenly go into a "crave" and you will eat every twinkie in sight.

Re: Its Day 8
yeah you must *try* and eat something, i had one of these months last month also, they suck, but you must eat stuff... go for 4 or 5 smaller meals when you feel like this, making sure you hit the veggies!HW 303Aug '04 SW-287 LW-232Restart - Apr 07 - SW 266 CW 225

Re: Its Day 8
I feel for ya X, it's day three for me and I had a terrible time eating my breakfast.
My body just didn't want it and it was hard to swallow, but I got it down. I just kept saying to myself "Gotta have that meal to lose the weight!"No trees were killed in the creation of this post. However, many electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
