I wouldnt think it would be too late in the month to sign up....all you do is go to the thread and sign in, everyday when you do a set of them, just go to the thread and let them how many you do aday. At the end of the month they give out awards for people who made their monthy goal. Its pretty cool. Hope every one has a great day today

      Rancher, I'm proud of you for doing something positive to divert your attention from the food. Food (especially the bad foods) have such power over us. I look at myself as an addict. My drug of choice is sugar or flour and other refined carbohydrates. It's my crack. ADBB is my rehab. My NA, so to speak. The people here have all played a huge role in my success, so I'm glad to see you using the board to help you on your journey too.

        Hey guys!! I'm back home. =) Only for a few hours and then I have to go to the hospital for clinical internship!! Ooooh, I am so excited, yet nervous!! AHHHH. Anyway, I think I have been doing good. I look a lot skinnier and I am way happy for that. =) I think for lunch today I am going to cook myself some steaks and have a nice salad along side it. That will probably be the only thing I will be able to eat today because it might be busy at the hospital. I don't know yet, you never know.

        The funeral was beautiful. So many of my friends were there and it was nice to be reunited with them and feel like a family.

        How is everyone else doing?

          Well tommorrow is a week since i have been on atkins but i cheated up until tuesday....Should i weigh tommorrow or wait til tuesday? I think i should wait til Tuesday

            Not sure Todd, I would say wait until Tuesday but then again I don't know. If we look at this honestly, none of us will go the rest of our lives without giving in to the sugar slave at some point in time, so it is part of the struggle. So I guess it is up to you really. I know that Sirine and I are doing are weekly weigh in tomorrow so maybe it would be nice to do it then so we can either congratulate each other or pick each other off the Matt. I know that I have had a pretty tough day and am contemplating "goin nuts" tonight over at the grocery store. I am in the minute by minute stage right now. I think I will give my wallet to a coworker for safe keeping tonight.

            How many people do we have in our group right now? (6 I think)

              Goodevening everyone!! =) Finally got home from doing my clinical internship at the Hospital for my EMT class. It was so much fun, even though I didn't get to do that much. =( At least I got to experience a little bit of what it's like to work in the Emergency Room! wOOt! I can't wait til I am an EMT or a Nurse. =)

              Anyway, as for sticking with this WOL, I am doing pretty good. I am starting to experience some leg pain, =( so that's not all that fun. Drinking water and maybe some ibuprofen will help me through the night. Tomorrow is going to be fun, I have a test I haven't even studied for to take, ya, -sighs-.

              I don't do my weigh in until Monday, so let me know how much you guys lost!!!!! I can't wait to find out!

              And I so agree with the support over the holidays! We can do it!!

                Good day everyone. Thought I'd just 'touch base' and wish everyone well for their first weigh-ins.
                I'm due mine on Tuesday so be prepared for boo hoos or whoop de woos (I'm such a drama queen).
                Anyways I bet you have all done really well.
                Keep drinking that water and enjoy the weekend.

                    I have some bad news Bekka....I decided to not weigh in today so I could give myself a full 7 days on Atkins before the weigh in. I started last Saturday and after completing today I will have a full week in. I will post on here sometime after church tomorrow and let all of you know! Great Job on your test, now just don't go out and "celebrate" keep up the good work. When is your scale day? Hopefully we can all eventually get it worked out where we weigh in on the same day. Hmm, maybe I should wait until Tuesday since you, Todd and Inkylady are doing it then. What do you think? Our numbers would be skewed the first week but after that we would all be on the same day from then on. What do you all think? Good luck today everyone, stay clean for the group! (Doesn't that just sound so easy )

                      I think that would be perfect. Tuesday sounds fine to me. =P Ahhh, that means I have to wait til tuesday, that totally sucks. Not really, well see how much we lose. wOOt wOOt!!

                      Update:

                      I wrote that last part in class when it was over, but I also realy wanted to get home and get in a nap before I have to babysit. Anyway, I was really wondering if you guys have joined any challenges yet, and if so, which ones? =)

                      I only have three challenges and I think that's a good start. I don't want to overload myself with too much stuff. First one are the abs! I know I started late, but hey, crunches won't hurt me, so why not do them and get that sexy flat stomach I have always wanted, mmm those rectus abdominos (ab muscles) are in for a good workout. So, I am doing 60 crunches every day until the end of the month and I think I will up them to 100 a day starting december.

                      Next one is the water challenge. It's a very important one because we need to make sure we get enough water in our system. I have to drink at least 88 oz a day, so I increased it to 100 to make it easier for myself. =P

                      Last but not least!! The Christmas challenge. OOOOH, AAAAAHHHHH. I'm weird, I know. Teehee. Well, I think it would be way cool to be under 200 pounds by the time I reach christmas, so I gave myself a reasonable goal of 20 pounds to lose by that time. I think I can do it. I am highly motivated and I have you guys to keep me going.

                      Future, I am so glad that you posted this thread in the beginning of the week. Thanks for the inititiative of wanting a group and knowing there might be others like you who need that extra help.

                      Good luck everyone! I have to babysit tonight (yay, more money) and I'll post when I get home! Can't wait to see how everyone is doing.

                        Hi everyone,

                        Talking about challenges. I have joined the abs challenge as well, Esteliana! I am doing 50 crunches a day. I think I will go for the water challenge as well. I am officially starting induction again on Monday. Ref. my past posts. I have not been doing induction right so I am formally and officially starting Monday. I have not completely backslide though. Just the same popcorn and cheescake. I started for the cookies but could not talk myself into it because I have come so far. I have lost another 4lbs so that is great. From 232 to 229 Oh that is 3 pounds, still great!

                        Again, I am so glade for this .

                          I'm very disappointed in myself. I hate babysitting at that house because it brings me back to the days where I would visit sweden and they have everything swedish in there. Yes, I did give into temptation and I feel like utter crap now. I was thinking to myself the whole time after I gave in to temptation and I told myself, never again. If I want to deter diabetes, I have to do this way of life for my health and I want to do it. Never again will I cheat, no matter how tempting the situation is. I'll keep my bottle of water next to me and bite on some celery sticks. -sighs-

                          I did my 60 situps, so I feel a bit better, but never again with carby foods, no way.

                            The good news is that your not alone. I gave into temptation tonight as well. It is so disapointing to falter. Refined carbs really are like a drug as I litteraly just felt so dirty and disgusting the whole time but yet I couldn't stop. Son of a gun this is frustrating. Hopefully we can get through tomorrow and start a new streak. I don't know about you but I had the desire to fight the temptation yet gave in. I can't really explain it. Tonight I had ice cream (about 2/3 rds of a half gallon box) and it didn't even taste very good and I wasn't really "craving" it like I used to but I guess I still craved the lingering effects of it. After a high carb binge I usually enter a very relaxed almost euphoric state. Does that happen to any of you? Of course once this wears off you feel terrible about what you did and it leaves us with two choices. Go back to the drug or run from it. Tonight I am with you Bekka, I am running from it and I pray that I have the strength to just run fast enough next time.

                            Daione, I am glad you are making forward progress keep up the good work. Good luck you on Monday!

                            Sorry about tonight gang. I am definetly putting off the weigh in until Tuesday with the rest of you!

                              I'm glad I wasn't alone. It doesn't make me feel all that bad. And oy, my tummy hurts now from all that binging last night. Now I know that I can't have carbs in my system, it will just mess me up and make me feel worse. I'm preparing all the food that I am going to eat today in a few hours and sticking to it. I got my steaks, tuna salad, salad, cheese and I'm all set for today, gotta do 30 crunches when I wake up again. Goodluck today Future! -hugs- And good luck to everyone else! =)

                                thanks for the encouragement, I was really down last night. I hate that we do that to ourselves, and the hangovers the next morning are just awful. Time to move on though. I think I will follow your lead and try to prepare some foods for the rest of the day and tomorrow. So far all is well today, lets hope Tuesday hold good news for us.
