Excellent idea, I do think and you were right earlier you have t o prepare yourself and your mind, like I was saying to Divine, I am on day 3 and apart from a few niggles I feel fine, I hope it continues to stay like it, my legs feel vweak though and im tired.

Do you know it is estimated that it takes 21 days to create a new habit, allowing the brain pathways to develop to the point where the new THINKING process becomes familiar.....

I have never heard of a company that had free vending machines. That is just cruel (it would taunt me everyday) and totally encourages the wrong kind of eating.

Wow, I did something very similar, Sunday I sat down to do the fitday & dangit if I hadn't used 27 grams. I went overboard on the brussel sprouts! Now I am trying so hard to look at the carbs before I cook. I guess I was just breezing through thinking all veggies were about the same. I was so wrong.

I felt like CRAP on Sunday. Weak, tired headache & so forth. It's been better for me since then. I hope thats a good sign.

Good luck & YES let's keep each other pumped up!

          Not going too well today

Buffet lunch at our weekly group meeting and I caved and at a passionfruit. Don't think I'm really doing to well at this whole Induction thing.

Thing is I'm not really sure what things could stop me going into ketosis/kick me out of it if I've already started.

Oh, I LOVE brussels sprouts, with butter & salt! I bought 2 packs when I first started on Induction. I checked the carb count on them before I went to cook them and was shocked at how high in carbs brussel sprouts are - 10.9 in only 6 brussel sprouts. Then, I got confused cuz there are all different sizes of brussel sprouts in the pack & wondered what size brussel sprouts they are referring to in the book. Then, I tried to figure out how many brussel sprouts equaled the allowable cup of othe vegetables. After all that, I said the heck with brussels sprouts and decided to make different allowable veggies - LOL

This post from soliwit shows how much weight one cup of brussels sprouts is as well as all the other induction veggies

Have you printed out a copy of the allowed foods for induction? I carried one about with me to check on everything when I was on induction and it really stopped me making lots of mistakes!
There is a wallet sized one in the Main Atkins forum you can save and print out. http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ead.php?t=3286

Re: Have I set myself Back 2 Days?

I seriously crashed and burned last night. I started crying for no reason which resulted in chocolate which resulted in a jam sandwich which resulted in me (knowing I'd have to start again today) having a pint of delicious strongbow.

I did get something out of it though. I wasn't sure I was in ketosis before but waking up this morning I know that the last 2 days I was definately in ketosis.

Here's to a clean induction starting TODAY!

I'm not going to let this set me back!

Plus I can't give up, I've spent the fortnight's food budget on induction friendly foods.

How are you getting on Divine? If its any consulation I was naughty last night, we had bad weather conditions here and I was so stressed when I got in I had 2 choclate chip cookies that I had made with the kids.....I felt kind of bad but I thought, I have done so well for 5 days...it doesnt seem to have affected my ketosis state as my strips are dark pinkish...and I got straight back on track, so how are YOU getting on?

Re: Have I set myself Back 2 Days?

Stil clean on new day 3, plus I've lost a few lbs so that's really giving me some encouragement. Don't think I've made it back into ketosis yet though, but I suppose I just have to be patient. Going out for sashimi tonight with my Mum, so that should be an absolutley perfect Atkins friendly dining experience. Plus I've been home and stolen my brothers gamecube and dancemat so I can do excersise even when the weather's abysmal (which in Oxford at this time of year is pretty much a given)

So I'm feeling good and getting along pretty well. Glad you got straight back on track, I know you can do it!
